heres a couple things that are seriously therapeutic

immerse your entire body in water.  go swimming in a pool or somewhere your entire body can be soaked for awhile.

sit in front of a fire for awhile.  a real fire and not a heating vent.

in the summer, plant a garden.  go fishing.  walk outside.

probably the best thing you can do for yourself is to get your shit together and figure out a way to make life work.

lately ive been trying to stay off the computer more often and get the most out of life.  i go out of my way to listen to music loudly for hours every night and play all the different instruments lying around the house instead of taking it all for granted.  i had a pretty good depression going for most of jan. into feb. but finally snapped out of it, which probably was largely in part to a large chunk of cash showing up in our mailbox.  its kinda pointless having records and instruments and stuff sitting around for entertainment and not having the energy or ambition to even get out of bed, let alone do anything.

in the winter i love to fire up the grill and cook some meat.  it tastes extra good now when youre not doing it all the time.  tomorrow i might fire that thing up in the snowbank while i plow.

kevin, i got a mixer now so i dont need that one you had.  stop down some time and lets get fucked up and grill some shit.  amber misses you.

prolly cuzz woman are too busy thinkin about the way they shit n piss

huh?
there is some truth to this.  my wife told me women's bathroom secrets and says women never shit in public bathrooms when theres anyone else in there.  with all the thought going into bathroom etiquette who has time to read?

I'll second that. You really have to push yourself thought to get that "runner's high" people talk about though. If you're out of cardiovascular shape it takes awhile to build up to that level. Obviously it's not something you can start in Wisconsin when it's 30 degrees out and there's a foot or more of snow on the ground. I actually prefer weightlifting to running for stress relief. I'm the last person I ever thought would say something so jockish, but putting up heavy weight can be an incredible release of stress. Plus the fact that you build towards something can be a good physical meditation.

shoveling that foot of wet heavy snow is quite a workout
