Music Shit / EXTREME HATE
« on: May 22, 2011, 09:42:43 PM »
Haven't trolled for this one in a while, but I figured it was time to start the search again. Still looking for the EXTREME HATE cassette, as immortalized by Halo of Flies in "Ballad of Extreme Hate" - find Haze's comments here:

http://www.terminal-boredom.com/hazexxl.html

TB: What or who inspired you to write "Ballad of Extreme Hate"?
Haze: Just that, a ballad dedicated to a legendary Seattle group called Extreme Hate. I never saw ?em, but for the years I spent in Seattle all I heard was these horror stories about this band that was dedicated to fucking up everything and terrifying everyone they came into contact with. Naturally that won ?em a soft spot in my heart. Steve Turner once told me that seeing them scared the ever living shit out of him. John Bigley told me about fights with cops, incredibly hideous O.D.?s etc. Lots of side stories, like they would make cassettes of their hate drenched venom and then go into record stores and sneak said cassettes into other used cassette cases like Boston or ELO. I fucking loved that one in particular.

I've been looking for this for years, and the closest I've come was some guy e-mailing me after that interview who actually owns the tape and sent me a scan of the cover. He was going to send me a dub of it, which never happened, even after extreme pestering, money offers, etc.....So, anyone out there got any leads? Still looking for a rip of it....I actually found an informative facebook thread about it where people say they have the tape (including the guy who released it I think..) and will rip it but I can't find it on any blogs or anything...I guess I need to log into Facebook for once....

Music Shit / The Cars
« on: April 06, 2011, 09:26:57 AM »
Was listening to to Underground Garage station on Sirius the other day (yeah, whatever), and they played what must have been a demo version of "You're All I've Got Tonight" by The Cars that sounded great. I see the demos were the bonus disc material on the deluxe reissue CD version of the s/t LP, I take it was never on vinyl? Bootlegged?

UPDATED, WHAT'S LEFT IS MARKED DOWN. THANKS TO ALL BUYERS, YOUR RECORDS SHIP TOMORROW WITH BONUS TERMBO NO-PRIZE INCLUDED.

So, I have to make some fucking room around here and raise some funds to support my vintage wrestling magazine habit. I have a half dozen boxes of LPs in the attic marked "sell", and I'm going to try and whittle the entire LP section down to one expedit full this summer. Somehow. This is all stuff from my collection or doubles I picked up on the cheap/thrift. No beaters. Please ask if you have any questions. I'm a wimp when it comes to grading records, so everything is on the conservative side as well. We'll work out some cheap shipping, let's make a deal. PM to reserve.

Non-Music Shit / Typewriter Font Help
« on: March 08, 2011, 10:36:04 AM »
Can anyone recommend a good free one? Nothing fancy. Just plain old typrewriter-looking text. Not "Grandma's Typewriter" or some distressed looking shit. I've looked through dozens and can't find a decent one....

A NEW BEGINNING.

Sore Losers soundtrack 2XLP - this is actually a reallly good comp - and the movie ain't too shabby either!

Wormdoom - Live 7" - sick. LP is my top want right now.

Angel Dust biker comp LP - I listened to this at least once a day for the past couple months - can anyone recommend any similar comps that are as equally killer?

Profondo Rosso sdtrk LP - pulled it halfway through side 2 where they get a little too "jazzy" for me

TIREFIRE Weapons 7" - SLAYS

Intelligence - Males LP - seriously. I think this is Lars' best record.

Non-Music Shit / Blank LP Jackets

I need a few. Like 10. I can't find anywhere that makes sense price-wise to buy that few, any of you label guys got some extras you would be willing to sell me? Black, white, hole or no hole, matte or gloss, doesn't matter. Will pay american dollars. PM me, thanks very much.

Music Shit / CRAMPS bootlegs
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:57:01 PM »
I seem to remember there used to be a fansite that had a listing of all Cramps boots, what was on them and graded them - it might have been this:

http://www.carrollsweb.com/rockndog/bootleg2.htm

But it doesn't really rate sound quality and such...

So what are some of the better Cramps live/demos boots or favorites? I'm partial to the 79 Ohio Sessions (I have the Wild Psychotic Teen Sounds packaging of them...) - how is that new Memphis Poseurs LP? I imagine it repackages previously heard material....
