They Live is a great movie.

Richard, speaking of Canada's Strongest Man, what's your take on the fact that Dino Bravo's execution-style death by gunshot was supposedly linked with Montreal organized crime, and his involvement in a million-dollar cigarette smuggling ring?

Also, what's your take on the metal band Death Angel?

I work with a Russian dude named Sasha. I think he's got connections with the Russian mob. Nice guy though. I also work with a Polish guy named Karol.

Umm... I'm sure they didn't pick his last name and "Igor" is an awesome name. It's actually pronounced Yegor, with a rolled "r" at the end. Ivan is also pronounced Yevonne, like the girl's name.

And I always thought it was pronounced EYE-GOR.

I think Honky's take was saying that although some of those dudes might be legends from their careers in other companies, their stints in WWE/F were far from legendary (Arn, Dusty, Dr. Death, and Kevin Von Erich in particular), and there are other dudes more deserving of legendary status than some of them. I can agree somewhat.

Speaking of legends, Richard what's your take on The Magnificent One, Don Muraco, atrue legend, and surely one of the greatest Intercontinental Champions of all time?

Scott, you should be getting paid. The wisdom being doled out here is worth at least a buck a pop, perhaps more depending on the topic. Or get an agent and force all questions to be funneled through him/her for a nominal fee. Until we set up the proper royalty situation, we may have to shut it down.

Kevin, Aguirre is fantastic, and Herzog and Kinski work together and are bonded like few actor/director combinations I've ever seen. You should watch Fitzcarraldo as well, if you already haven't, as it deals with some similar issues/themes, and is a beautifully shot film. Herzog is pretty intense. Kinski is under-rated. There is an expensive herzog bio I've been wanting to buy recently, I'm sure there are some incredible stories from the filming of these movies.

Richard,

What's your take on my all-time fave Abdullah the Butcher? Would you eat at his combination Rib Shack/Chinese Food eatery if ever in Atlanta, or would the possibility of a fork in the eye at any moment be too disturbing?

Also, what's your take on stoner rock?

Kevin, yes I have Revolution Dub, and it's great. Scratch is pretty fascinating, but his body of work is so immense and there are so many dodgy comps/versions/etc. But thats a great one, as ar the Super Ape records. And Megaton Dub. I've been really into Scientist lately, and those Wackies samplers too. I've been Soulseeking most of it until I figure out what's good. I'd like to find a book or guide somewhere about Scratch/Black Ark/King Tubby/Channel One, etc.. SS, please ask your bro if one exists.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, sir. Whats your take on Gene Vincent?

I think alot of guerilla rock/hardcore shows have happened in the Bay Area recently too (or semi-recently), playing at BART stations and shit, or shows out on deserted beaches, etc.. I do believe Dave Hyde did a piece with one of the guys who was setting a lot of them up in an issue of his zine. Great idea though.

SS, whats your take on who killed Brian Jones?

Also, is your ignoring my question from a page ago a statement about you not liking dub reggae, or just another example of the Alzheimers kicking in?

I actually just got my Electron LPs today. Check back later, I'll be apeshit over it then I'm sure. I think Shattered have done very well so far: steady release schedule, all quality shit. Douchemaster are up and coming, and I like what they've done. I think Goner has done really well this year as well: King Khan & BBQ, Chinese Crawfish, and Dutchmasters are all potential Top Ten material.

Yeah, it was "F.A.T.". Lawnmower Deth were funny, and they thrashed OK for some British dudes. I heard their last album sounded like Green Day. That's fucked.

Richard, what's your take on Cheech & Chong movies these days? Still watchable?
