Columbus Ohio?
Probably dealing with Courage Crew.  I don't know how they are now but in the late 90's early 00's, yeah they didn't have too much of a problem beating the shit out of you.

Inmates are going to start recording an LP soon.

This is the best news I've heard all month.
Supposedly after Wet Brain has finished recording they are on to Inmates.

The Revelation Records one? Didn't they have a big anniv. show with YOT and Chain of Strength?
Not that I remember.  I think Burn toured Southeast Asia as Judge.  Tha'dt be fucking brilliant if it's true.
This is the real deal, Mike "Old Smokey" Ferraro himself is coming out of retirement.  My only hopes is he looks a million time more white trash than he did back 25 years ago.

Kid I talk to in Norway told me about this picture of Brannon drunk out of his mind.

Brannon after a NA show in Oslo. Apparently they did not want to let him board the plane out of Norway. They ended up all the way to the pilot to convince airline. Like a true Detroitier Brannon said "It's ok. I'm from Detroit. I'm going home."

Yeah, a friend just played the Gas Rag demo on a local radio show last week. It's pretty good.
I'm loving this demo.

They play tight as hell.  Brannon sounds like he has marbles in his mouth though.  Killed it for me.

Rudimentary Peni - The E.P.'s of R.P.
White center labels vs. black center labels?
I've got white labels on mine.  I bought it in the late 90's early 00's.  I don't remember if it was used or not for sure.  One thing it does have is a bit of a musty scent to it, which indicates I did purchase it second hand and I figure that would date it's release to way further back than when I purchased it.

I would line and put end boards made of wood on Metros.  Ply wood is cheap and just check it once a year to see if it is giving to the weight at all.  I really love Metro shelves hah.

Not having an Expedit shelf against a wall is risky business.  They are pretty much laminate filled with honey comb cardboard.  Not very sturdy when freestanding.

I have been wanting to buy a metro rack.  They are almost indestructible, cost less than Epedits, can have castors, the shelves can be placed at any height.  Just about any commercial kitchen uses Metro racks.  I cooked for over ten years and swear you could throw one off a 5 story building and it would survive.  The only down side is you have to line the shelves and put a backing at each end.  That's not much of hassle considering.    I think they use Metros at to store records at MRR.

Hear Me Howling! Blues, Ballads, & Beyond: The Arhoolie 50th Anniversary Boxset
In addition to a 4 disc set it is a 130 something page book.  It has opened rambling through the beginning  Arhoolie Records and Berkeley Folk Festival.  The historical information is lacking substance and feels more like one big name drop and dick stroking for the who's who of folkies around the bay area in the 60's.  They sound like a bunch of assholes, mostly.  I'm amazed there's enough hot air to blow into these boring egos in the northern California.
That's the take after 20 pages.  I imagine from there it goes on to glorify happy go lucky skiffle bands and groups whose name end with 'Ramblers' that are as dreadful as the boring, hip, uber white intellectual types that make up their members.
Lots of photos.  Some of them are alright.

The CDs are decent and after 20 pages the book isn't above fire kindling.

Maybe if you are into the worst of the worst of the folk revival it would be interesting?

Just got the new Forward LP. it's ragin'. I am such a sucker for cheeseball burning spirits, this thing is stellar. Cannot wait to see em/Ishiya's moustache 3 times in May.
Cheeseball??  I love Burning Spirits hardcore.

Broken Prayer is my current favorite for '13.  Still excited to get stuff from Vaaska, Wet Brain and Kremlin.
Hearing more from Pregnancy Scares would be nice.  I think S.H.I.T.'s demo showed some promise.

I want both Black Flags on the same bill preforming a split set.  Show goers can decide the battle voting with rocks.
