Now that you mention it, we did go the 33 rpm route...

If you wanna hear a good Frijid Pink song, check out "Tell Me Why" from the first LP - I think it's on 45 too.  They have some other pretty rocking tunes, but I can't remember any of the names of them.

The This Damn Town/Guilty Hearts split I put out a few years back is like 7 minutes long on one side - I'm not gonna say it's the best sound quality you're ever gonna hear on a 7" EP, but I am gonna say that it CAN be done with perfectly acceptable results.  I did some research on this when we were getting the record together, and from what I can remember it seems like I found out that you lose overall loudness from going beyond 5 and a half minutes, but you don't lose much (if any) fidelity.

This thread made me remember that I saw a Didjits video on Beavis and Butthead once.

Have I ever told you this story before?  I think the Didjits were the first REALLY GOOD band I ever saw play live.  I think it was in 1993 (or maybe 1992)

I saw them around the same time (Que Sirhan Sirhan was the current disc), and yeah, they rocked the fucking house!  I saw a lot of shows at Mad Hatter's in Fort Worth back then, but none of them came close in terms of unadulterated rock'n'roll action and crowd size/enthusiasm...the place was packed beyond capacity, and every person there was just losing their shit...it was one big fuckin' party, just like a rock'n'roll show oughta be!

I'd rather look at it AND play it.

I never do well in thrift stores for records, since they rarely have the kind of stuff that I usually buy.

I'd say at least 50% of my collection came from the thrift store, and probably 100% of the really rare shit, because I'm not the type to blow hundreds (or even tens!) on a record.  For me, it's always been about scoring good music at a low price.

I go with the Real Kids just because I always prefer American stuff over British stuff - not because I'm some kind of hater, just because I can relate to it better because I'm American too.  Plus, the Real Kids are more rocknroll!

I used to have Virgin Fears and I think one of the Tripping Corpse volumes when I was a teenager, but the roof over my room collapsed one night while it was raining and both were ruined.  I can't believe the prices they command now.

I literally agree with everything the motherfucker has to say.

That's EXACTLY how I felt when I saw the Showtime special.

Hey, it's that time of the year...7"s are 2 for $6 ppd., LPs are 2 for $12 ppd.  It's all old shit, but that's why it's so fucking cheap.
