I have a yellow MXR distortion pedal that I like a lot. I also have a Danelectro Blue Paisley, which is pretty cool and has a three-way switch on it that really changes the kind of distortion you get.

"Shots" from the underrated Reactor LP.

Have you heard the Horsey Craze version of this? Horsey Craze is The Constantines doing Neil Young covers and they play an incredible version of "Shots".  The drums are even more driving and the guitars are noisier and more abrasive.

I always go back forth on my favorite Neil Young album but generally it alternates between "Everybody Knows...", "On the Beach", and "Zuma".

After the Cococoma/Hipshakes show I would recommend heading down to Divan Orange to catch Blood Ceremony and Bush League. I wish I could make it in Thursday for Livefastdie, but three good shows in three nights should satisfy me.

Lee's Palace in Toronto is pretty horrible. The sound isn't great and the stage is too high, yet every touring band I want to see lately, chooses this place.

That's what I was going to say. Not to mention the beer is expensive.
