apparently you can be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, have a profile in the New Yorker (first I've ever seen for a hockey player) and have an upcoming feature on 60 Minutes, but still not make the All-Star team or play more than one game for your country in the Olympics.  Or be named captain of the team that you are clearly the best player on.  Nope, you have to "earn" all of those things, PK.

But I'm sure that race has absolutely, positively, nothing to do with it.
