Teisco! I've got one, they are in fact awesomely small. Like an inch thick.

If you live in a city in the USA it's pretty much THEE way to get around.

That seems backwards to me. Since I live in a city where I can walk to 90% of what I need, and easily take public transit anywhere else, I've never seen the point. But I might be moving to a smaller city that has shitty public transit, so I'm considering getting one of these things. I don't know one single thing about fixing a motor, or how they even work, so I might just buy a good pair of shoes instead.

Non-Music Shit / Re: Possibly idiotic guitar pickup question
« on: April 16, 2011, 04:52:26 PM »
Shaun A, if you're looking for more treble out of your humbucker, take a look inside your guitar and see how many wires come out of the pickup. Some humbuckers will have 4 wires, with two of them being connected together and touching nothing else. Take those two and tape them to the back of one of the pots (the round metal things in there) with electrical tape. Make sure the wire ends are touching the metal. Now it's not a humbucker anymore, output will drop a bit, but treble will go up. Also, never use your neck pickup and disconnect your tone pot all together.
If you really want some high pitch shit, go get a soldering iron and look up the words "out of phase".

Feelers first 7" and the one on Contaminated, so savage.  Dig it.

I liked everything they did, but the one on Contaminated was the best for sure.

Savage Pinkos 7". Hardcore in the Catholic Boys/Feelers way. When is that trend coming back? I'll be waiting.

Vox repeat percussion =/= pedal.

I just got the enclosure/small electronics in the mail to build a tube based over drive pedal (valvecaster). Still waiting for the tube. It's my first attempt at building a pedal, so it probably won't work. It will also be my first attempt at even using a pedal, that probably won't work either.

No shit, I've played it like 8 times tonight. It's like if Camero Werewolf was really into Anti-Cimex instead of GG Allin, or something stupid like that.

UBERKROPPLING Fodt Fucked 12" Some Danish fucks, the label told me, "it's got folks from most of the good Danish punk bands of the last decade," no idea who though. 11 tracks of bullshit lo-fi HC/metal? on one side of a 45 rpm 12". Non stop soloing over crappy HC. This is my favorite hardcore record of 2011, so far. Only 150 copies, that part sucks.

Not to get off topic here, but that Sweet Tooth single rips. Refuse is my new jam.

I meant Kevin and mp's "discussion"

Yeah, so did I. You're not getting off topic, you're getting back on.

Just got the second Vile Nation 7". Maybe it's from 2010? Anyway, it's a killer. I don't remember the first one sounding like this, I need to revisit that one.

Lived in a punk house in Philadelphia for 2 weeks in 2005. We destroyed the building, which belonged to some college down there, and were thrown out on the street by some housing official and bunch of police. The locks were changed while we stood there. We were subletting it from a fraternity for the summer, we never paid them a cent and left the place in unlivable condition.
Amongst the shitty local punk bands, Matt & Kim played our basement.
