Music Shit / Re: What is everybody listening to? Part II
« on: August 08, 2007, 01:30:47 PM »

So is the Lamps' Haunted George cover supposed to played at 33? I tried it both and it sounds okay both ways. I know the record says 33, but that doesn't always mean it's right.

Okay, I just listened to this a couple of more times and am almost positive that the rpm labels got switched on the two sides. Lamps sounds better at 45 to my ears, and HG is obviously meant for 33. Am I the only one?

ps-hate to quote myself, but there you go.

Don't know if they are obscure or not, but hometown pride begs me to mention Normal, IL's Naked Hippy:

it is cool - but the overall volume is pretty low....any way to bump that up in future mixes?....

Unfotunately, the only thing about my set up I don't like is the low levels it records at. I have these boosted as high as they will go without distorting the sound. I agree, I wish they were a bit louder, but I still enjoy making and listening to them.

Anyone know where I could still score a Hospitals/Afrirampo "Bored Fortress Singles Series split" 7?on Not Not Fun? Or, anyone have an extra copy they are willing to part with? Thanks.

I think my live Hue Blank Cd got stolen with my bag last night, does anyone have a copy they could burn me.

What Hue Blanc live cd? If it's the comp with a compulsive gamblers cover on it I can.

If it's new, then someone help a brotha out!

Just a mini disc and then soundforge to clean up and boost a little. Glad you guys enjoyed it!

No one wants to tell me how shitty this sounds? Or, whether their enjoying it? I'm just looking for a little feedback on the"mastering" job really.

Thanks Paul! How do you think it sounds? Any opinions out there.

Keeping in mind, I am at the will of the room. Linneman's was insanely bassy that night. However, I think it turned out very listenable.
