I've been working on a big 'zine set sale list for awhile, and it's finally done. Sent it out to my mailing list yesterday afternoon, so some stuff is already claimed, but there's tons left. Over 1500 'zines, 80% or more of which is music related. 70s-90s Punk/indie 'zines, some '70s Rock mags, a small list of misc/cult film/other interest titles and then a couple hundred issues of MAD. The list has some rare things on it, but it's mostly affordable stuff. Issues of Bomp!, Punk, Flipside, TONS of MRR issues, lots of misc indie 'zines, Creem, Rock Scene, etc.

You are able to download the list here:

I only check messages here from time to time, so please email all orders and questions rather than hitting me up here. All contact info is on the first page of the list.

Music Shit / Bruce Cole of the Screamin' Mee-Mees R.I.P.
« on: April 30, 2018, 03:42:45 PM »
Bruce Cole of the Screamin' Mee-Mees passed away last Thursday after suffering a massive stroke the night before. If you're friends with me on Facebook (Jason Ross) you already know and may have seen some of the artwork and other things I've been posting. I possess a good chunk of his master tapes, original hand drawn art for record covers and various other drawings, comics, etc. I am working with the family to put together a memorial here in St. Louis, and I hope to be able to get the rest of the tapes and art he left behind to make the ultimate Bruce Cole archive. The plan is to get a good chunk of it online. It'll take awhile, as there are hundreds of drawings and many, many hours of unreleased recordings. More info on that coming soon.

Pour out a Hot Sody for Bruce!

Here are a few favorite pics/scans. Bruce in his kitchen a few years ago, the original hand lettered layout for the first EP, a late '70s drawing of a little girl on acid (I'm guessing) and a '77/'78 era photo eventually used on the Home Movies EP.

GREAT PLAINS
The Mark, Don & Mel E.P.+ 4 LP   (2018-RERUN #034)
Born In A Barn LP   (2018-RERUN #035)

Rerun Records is proud to present new issues of the first two records by Columbus, OH's Great Plains. Smartass garage pop, firmly rooted in a beer-soaked Midwestern basement. Catchy tunes with too smart for their own good lyrics from the off-kilter mind of Ron House.

The first release is a reissue of their 1983 debut, The Mark, Don & Mel E.P. 12". We've added four bonus live tracks to make it a full LP, all performed by the same line up as the EP. The second is a reissue of their first full length Born In A Barn, originally released on the legendary Homestead Records in 1984. Both have been out of print for 30+ years.

Both LPs are a limited pressing of 500 copies and have remastered audio and printed inner sleeves with discography, testimonials, reviews of the original releases, photos, etc. These vinyl-only releases also includes a free digital download code with bonus live tracks.

Price: $16.00 each or both for $30.00 + postage

TEENAGE DEPRESSION
Skank Or Die 7"EP (2018-RERUN #033)

Four high school friends from a small town in NJ, just across the river from NYC discover punk. Instead of playing lunkheaded polka beat hardcore, they mix at least 50% satire on the hardcore punk movement of the era with some truly great D.I.Y. Punk/HC. Nine blasts of spastic speed punk/hardcore clocking in at just under 11 minutes, pressed at the always kinda lo-fi 33.3rpm speed. The EP was originally released by the band in 1984. It got frequent airplay on WFMU and positive 'zine reviews, but it had little distribution and with the band not playing live any longer, it was soon lost to record collector obscurity.

Rerun presents an authorized reissue in a limited edition of 350 copies. Newly remastered audio and housed in a heavyweight sleeve featuring liner notes and song commentary by drummer and songwriter Kazumi Umeda, also including a replica of the original lyric insert.

Price: $8.00 + postage

Two new reissues from Rerun out now, well sorta. Dinosaurs is on our BDR sub-label and we are distributing the Chemotherapy EP for Time Change. Up next on Rerun will be a reissue of the Teenage Depression-Skank or Die 7"ep and reissues of the first two Great Plains 12" releases. Those should be out in about 4 weeks.

Dinosaurs-s/t LP
(2017-Big Muddy Records/BDR Records) (BMR034/BDR #8)

The Dinosaurs were a garage-punk band that formed in St. Louis in 1978. Made up of misfits and outsiders, they existed alongside but apart from the emerging punk rock movement. To record collectors, the Dinosaurs are the creators of the sought after "Rock & Roll Moron" 45, which the band self-released in 1979. But to most patrons of underground culture around the Midwest, the Dinosaurs are known as the starting point in the musical history of Bob Reuter, St. Louis? D.I.Y. "Renaissance Man" who gained regional success as a songwriter, radio DJ (Bob's Scratchy Records), lo-fi photographer, and late-in-life author.

Inspired by the new wave counterculture as much as the pop sensibilities it rebelled against, the Dinosaurs played a mix of proto-punk and classic rock, delighting some while offending others. Consisting of four ne?er-do-well city boys, the Dinosaurs were defiantly uncouth and had an explosive energy that mirrored the raw aggression of the forgotten, post-industrial Midwest city they called home. Alongside the catchy and compulsive songwriting of the band's founder, Bob Reuter, the Dinosaurs became oddities in St. Louis? growing punk scene. They made an initial splash as the weekend house band in a neighborhood dive bar playing for four hours a night. Their sets attracted a mixed crowd of factory workers, freaks and oddballs who fell in love with the wild musicians and the unruly atmosphere their music created. After a few months and one too many violent incidents, the band was asked to move on. The Dinosaurs drifted from venue to venue around the St. Louis metropolitan area, bringing their small but rowdy and loyal following with them wherever they went. At times they were celebrated, but at other times their brazen attitudes brought them into conflict with the rest of the scene. After a year and a half and one self-released 45, the band imploded on stage and went their separate ways.

After the break up, the Dinosaurs were all but forgotten until Reuter came to local prominence as the founder of Kamikaze Cowboy, an alt-country band who gigged alongside contemporaries like Uncle Tupelo. With his new spotlight and a penchant for story telling, Reuter spun the legend of the Dinosaurs, claiming that they were St. Louis? first and only punk band in the 70s. During this time, Reuter also gained significant notoriety for his vinyl only radio show and his lo-fi black & white photography that documented the desperation and ruin of life in St. Louis as well as the bohemian rock & roll culture that thrived in spite of the desolation. In the 2010s, Reuter fell in with a young group of musicians at Big Muddy Records and formed the band Bob Reuter?s Alley Ghost, who performed some of the Dinosaurs songs and recaptured the energy of their proto-punk sound while introducing the music to a new generation. Reuter toured regionally with Alley Ghost and released a critically acclaimed album, ?Born There? before his death in 2013. He gathered a small cult following throughout the States and his admirers grew to include noteworthy rock & roll figures such as Kim Fowley and ? of the Mysterians.

Now for the first time ever, twelve of the Dinosaurs finest homemade recordings from 1978 are presented side by side on vinyl. The tracks have been remastered from the original audio tapes and packed with expansive liner notes and photography on a 12" x 24" insert. The package also includes an additional ten tracks for download including two essential live recordings.

Chemotherapy-s/t 7"ep
(2017-Timechange Records - TC-5 - distributed by Rerun)
Chemotherapy was comprised of four Carmel, Indiana high school students who released a lone 12 track 7? EP in 1983 in an edition of 300 copies.  One of Indiana?s earliest examples of true hardcore punk, Chemotherapy?s EP has been remarkably rare for decades?so much so that it was difficult to track down a copy to use for the reissue.  Recently the master tapes were located and Paul Mahern (Zero Boys) remastered for the reissue.  Band member Matt Cucco provides liner notes. Timechange is proud to release a reissue of this rare release in an edition of 500 copies on colored vinyl.

COST: $8.00 + postage

OUT NOW:

Plastic Idols-I.U.D. b/w Sophistication 7"
2016-Rerun Records (RERUN #030)
Authorized reissue of the 1st 7" from this early Houston, TX Punk band. Two jerky Punk killers with great use of a noise generator for added effect. Originally released on the band's own Vision Records in 1979. Licensed for reissue from band leader Al K. Trazz. Limited edition of 500 copies. Remastered audio and art, housed in a heavyweight glue-pocket sleeve.

Plastic Idols-Einstein Experience 7"EP
2016-Rerun Records (RERUN #031)
Authorized reissue of the 2nd 7" from this early Houston, TX Punk band. Two quirky, jerky Punk attacks with organ and one experimental synth/noise wallop. Originally released on the band's own Vision Records in 1980. Licensed for reissue from band leader Al K. Trazz. Limited edition of 500 copies. Remastered audio and art, housed in a heavyweight glue-pocket sleeve.

The Executives-7?EP
2016-Rerun Records/Danger Records ? RERUN #028/DR-024
Remastered reissue of the sole release by The Executives from San Diego, CA. Four short blasts of hyperactive teen ModPunk. Originally released in 1980 on the mysterious Radio Active Records. One of the rarest Punk 7?s from Southern California, and if you find a copy with a picture sleeve, it?ll cost a mortgage payment or two. This long overdue reissue replicates the original B&W sleeve art, along with a fold-out insert featuring previously unpublished photos and liner notes. Co-released by Rerun Records and Danger Records (France.)

Captain 9?s and the Knickbocker Trio-Starting A Rock n? Roll Grease Fire LP
2016-Rerun Records ? RERUN #029
Captain 9?s played rockus Garage Punk n? Roll, blasting out of a basement in Williamsport, PA. They sound like they?ve listened to their beat up Ramones and Kingsmen records too much. They sound like they?re having a good time and don?t care what you think. Over the course of ten or so years, they released a good-sized handful of 7?s and a few demo tapes. The Scum of the Earth demo was slightly altered and released as an LP on Rip Off Records in the ?90s. It fit right in with the other Budget Rock on the label. The band hasn?t really existed since the early/mid ?90s.

When the band released a 45 with two cover songs out of nowhere in 2014, we wanted more! We quickly contacted the band to put together a collection of hits, demos and unreleased material, recorded 1984-1994. The members hand picked the songs from official releases and band-only tapes to bring you Starting A Rock n? Roll Grease Fire With Captain 9?s and the Knickerbocker Trio, which we can only hope will be your new favorite party record.

M.O.T.O.-Ampeg Stud LP
2016-RERUN #025
Ampeg Stud was released in 1995 and was M.O.T.O.'s last 4-track cassette-only album. Paul assembled a top-notch band while in Chicago, and most songs from Ampeg Stud would become long-time fan favorites and set staples. It almost plays like the demos for a greatest hits collection.

Rerun Records is pleased to bring you this classic recording for the very first time on vinyl. Remastered by M.O.T.O.'s head producer Garret Hammond from the original master tapes for maximum fuzziness. Pressed on thick black vinyl in a limited edition of 500 copies.

M.O.T.O.-MOTORERECTUS LP
2016-RERUN #026
MOTOERECTUS was released in very limited quantities in 1987. This album represents some of M.O.T.O.'s last 4-track recordings before relocating to Boston. Although it's still showing much of the New Orleans/early years goofiness, there are a handful of tracks hinting at the slightly more serious pop sensibilities to come with M.O.T.O.'s '90s and beyond releases.

First releases of 2016 with more to come. At the plant now is a reissue of the Executives 7"EP (classic San Diego teen punk), Captain 9's & The Knickerbocker Trio-collection LP, and VOM-Live at Surf City 7" repress (sold out for over a year). In the works for late 2016 release are reissues of both Plastic Idols 7"s (underrated TX herky jerky Punk), Modern Warfare/Moderns-collection LP, BOB-collection LP and more!

NEW M.O.T.O. ON RERUN
No matter who he's on stage or recording with at the moment, Paul Caporino alone has always been M.O.T.O., aka Masters of the Obvious. He formed the band in 1981 in New Orleans and has been playing an infectious blend of garage, '70s punk rock and Brill Building worthy pop ever since.

M.O.T.O. released more than fifteen cassette albums from 1985-1999. Virtually all were fuzzy 4-track cassette recordings with Paul layering guitar, bass and vocals over a crude drum machine. The lyrics are filled with dick jokes, love themes and smart-assed social commentary. The music is lo-fi, hook laden pop. Familiar at the first listen, and it only grows on you from there.

AMA-DOTS
s/t LP (RERUN #016)

Formed in the late 70's, Ama-dots pushed the Punk ethos to a decidedly irreverent, twisted and experimental sound. At times leaning into Pop (?Hit Girls?) and others decidedly angry and mean (?Strange Brute?) Ama-dots had a way of surprising the listener without being aimless or "weird-for-weird's sake".

Releasing ?Hit Girls? on their own Hunky Recs in 1980 the song became a battle cry, striking a chord with female Punk patrons. At this time Punk and anything close to feminist empowerment had only been uttered by The Raincoats and The Slits. The major reason most listeners heard of the later is that they were based out of London and, as much as Milwaukee had a vibrant Punk scene, it was not known as a musical mecca.

Touring extensively through the Midwest and the South they hit the legendary clubs in NYC before reaching into Canada. They opened for the likes of Captain Beefheart, Sun Ra, Gang Of Four, Talking Heads and several other diverse and noteworthy acts.

Striking a deal with Chicago's Autistic Records they were produced by Iain Burgess, regarded as instrumental in shaping the Chicago Post-Punk sound with Big Black, Ministry, Effigies and more. Burgess brought the dark, aggressiveness out while not limiting the quirks, kinks and perverse sense of humor.

Autistic imploded and so sat their work with Burgess making the self released single highly sought after within collector circles.

This is the first time their work with Burgess as well as other local notables, including the late Dennis Flemion (The Frogs) has been publicly available.

This limited edition is pressed on gold marbled vinyl and includes an 11" X 17" insert with rare photos and written accounts by writers, fans and critics including a first person account of a harrowing gig in Toronto.

...and another:

THE LUBRICANTS
Activated Energy b/w Transformation Vacation 7" (RERUN #023)

Milwaukee, WI always seemed to be ahead of the curve when it came to great music, especially with the proto-punk/art/noise-rock bands that morphed into just about every cool or at least noteworthy '77-'83 indie band in town. The Lubricants were no exception and one of the best of the bunch. They formed at the Dawn of Punk and were the most ferocious band in town. They went through multiple line-up changes, but it all centered around founder and mastermind Leroy Buth. In 1980, they booked time at A.T.A. Studios in Chicago and cut the "Activated Energy" b/w "Transformation Vacation" 45. Two killer Punk sides with perfectly in-the-red production. Both songs ooze some of the most searing guitar leads committed to vinyl since Raw Power. The record came out on their own Relative Records that same year. It was the only release during the Lubricants original run. The original single has been very tough to find and fetching big money for years. In the late ?90s, the inclusion of ?Activated Energy? on a volume of the bootleg compilation series Killed By Death and a poorly done counterfeit pressing drew even more demand for the record. A collection of Lubricants studio material was self released by the band on CD, which also appeared as a very limited vinyl pressing out of Italy.

Rerun presents a high quality reissue of this Milwaukee Punk classic in a limited pressing of 500 copies on thick, black vinyl. The audio has been remastered and it comes in a glued pocket sleeve with a double sided insert including rare photos and ephemera plus liner notes by Glenn Rehse of Plasticland.

...and another:

THE ONES
The Ones 7"+CD set (RERUN #021) or The Ones CD (RERUN #022)

Ozone was started in 1975 by a couple of high school kids from the Northwest side of Milwaukee, WI. They were the hardest rockin' teenage band in town, playing full sets of original material in the vein of their musical heroes the Stooges, KISS and AC/DC to packed high school parties and teen dances. When they heard the Ramones debut in 1976, Ozone settled into a solid Punk ROCK sound. With no chance for a band like them to get signed, especially in Milwaukee, there were no pretentions. Just informed meat n' potatoes rock n' roll, sans any boogie or bar-band licks. After a finding the perfect line up and a couple more years of extensive rehearsal, gigs and song writing, dedication paid off and they smashed the competition at a big-time battle of area bands in late 1979. Part of the grand prize package was studio time and the release of a 45rpm single. Still called Ozone up until that point, a name change was necessary when they learned of an established group using the same moniker. The "Short Dress" b/w "Tightrope" 45 was released in 1980 on Blue Ribbon Records under their new name, The Ones. Both sides are blazing Punk n' Roll but with little to no distribution or promotion, hardly anybody noticed it at the time. Being issued without a picture sleeve didn't help matters. Copies seemed to disappear from sight along with the band, making it one of the rarest and most sought after 45s from any Wisconsin band ever. Copies have changed hands for upwards of $800 online. "Tightrope" was later bootlegged on the Staring Down the Barrel comp LP, making demand even greater. The Ones folded shortly after the record was issued when band leader and driving force Clancy Carroll decided to change musical directions. He would go on to form the much-loved garage/punk/pop band the Dominoes with ex-Haskels guitarist Gerard LaValliere and continue to play in area indie bands through the '90s.

Originally intended to be two separate releases, we've decided to package them together as The Ones SET to make sure all you vinyl-only folks got to hear the great unreleased material on the CD. The set includes the CD (in a standard jewel case), limited 7? and two 1? pin-back buttons with the Ones and Ozone logos. The set comes packaged as one unit in a 7? sized, flapped poly bag. The CD is also available separately.

"Short Dress" b/w "Tightrope" 7" RECORD (RERUN #021)
A newly remastered vinyl reissue of the nearly impossible to find Short Dress b/w Tightrope 45 from 1980 in a limited pressing of 500 copies on thick, black vinyl. It comes in a full-color glued pocket sleeve with an insert featuring liner notes by band leader Clancy Carroll and previously unpublished photos. Available only as part of the Ones SET with the CD and two buttons.

THE ONES-The Ones 5" COMPACT DISC (RERUN #022)
18 tracks and over an hour of blazing Punk n? Roll on the increasingly unpopular CD format. This packed to the gills CD collects the Short Dress b/w Tightrope 45 along with unreleased studio demos plus rehearsal and live recordings from 1978-1980. The 12-panel fold-out insert features extensive liner notes by band leader Clancy Carroll along with oodles of unpublished photos and ephemera. Audio remastered by Chuck Warner and co-released with his Hyped To Death Records.

The Alloys-No One But You b/w Love Me Forever 7?
1981-DB Records

Here?s a previously unknown rarity from the Chicago suburb of Aurora, IL. A self-released Power Pop/Rock 45 by this young high school band, ages 14-17. They say they just wanted to be the next Beatles, but we think this is a great slice of under-produced teen-angst rock. The rockin' thud of ?No One But You? is the obvious hit here, but ?Love Me Forever? is no slouch when it comes to a ?60s-style, shuffling ballad.

The single never had any distribution outside the Chicago area, and it was even very limited around those parts. Pretty much any copy that got sold was done so to a friend at high school or at one of their few local live gigs. Sales were probably a hundred or so, with much of the stock long since tossed out by ex-band members and their manager.

Have a listen to samples of both sides here: http://www.divshare.com/download/24469185-833
(Note, these samples are off my old used copy, not one of the unplayed ones offered here)

CONDITION NOTES: Although we obtained the last remaining unplayed copies, none of them are Mint. I?d venture to guess a Minty copy probably doesn't exist. These were stored in a brown grocery bag, in a basement for 20+ years. All of the thin paper sleeves are yellowed and all have some edge/corner wear and creasing. Most of them have some other storage wear, too. The cleanest copies of the vinyl are clean but a bit dusty. They are flat and play great. Those are matched up with the cleanest sleeves. Some type of rose powder or other garden chemical got dumped on the bag by "Mom" at some point years ago and it hit a handful of copies. It cleaned up pretty well, but some vinyl has dust scuffs/wear from that or just dust. The B-class copies are these or ones with other minor storage/dust wear. We also have some lesser copies for those who aren't condition freaks, which are still unplayed but have scuffing, marks, etc on the vinyl. The sleeves have more wear as well. Some of these have just scuffs/marks on one side with the other being clean. We have a handful of each grade available and we'll fill orders with the cleanest copies first.

We've priced accordingly, but the grades on each group are general for the group. Even the VG-/VG C-grade copies should clean up and play pretty well

The Images-Jackie?s Back/Secret Image b/w Tears In My Eyes 7?
1985-Image Records

Another obscure, self-released Power Pop 45 from Illinois. This one's from Waukegan, IL, which is about halfway between Chicago and the WI border. The Images were never really a functioning band. This was a studio project recorded by one high school senior, with his sophomore friend handling drum duties. They recorded and pressed the 45 in 1985. 500 (at most) believed to be pressed.

It was never issued in a picture sleeve, although some copies have copyright info typed or handwritten on the dust sleeve. Some also have a contact address. Others were sold in plain white sleeves. Like most other private press releases, this single had no real distribution. Copies were mainly sold to friends, sent out for review and some possibly sold through stores in the Chicago area.

We are please to offer the very last of the dead stock copies the Images had in storage. Once these are gone, they?re gone. Most of the copies we have are in plain sleeves, but we do have some with either handwritten or typed copyright info. We?ll fill orders with the copies that have info on the sleeve until we run out. All vinyl is unplayed with minor storage dust.

Have a listen to samples of both sides here: http://www.divshare.com/download/24290557-b1c

Rock Bottom & The Spys-Rich Girl 7"EP

2013-no label

Amazingly great 3 song Synth Punk EP from 1981 by this California band. The originals are notoriously rare, and the 2002 reissue from breakmyface.com is even really tough to find these days. This is a second pressing of the 2002 reissue on breakmyface.com. The same pressing plates were used for this release. These were actually pressed around 2008 but sat in storage until mid 2013. Although no record label is listed, this is an authorized reissue, but it is not done by breakmyface.com.

The packaging is different than on the 2002 or original releases. All copies of this pressing include a shrunk down color photocopy of the limited reissue sleeve pasted to a white cardstock, glue pocket sleeve. It also comes with a xeroxed lyric sheet. Same matrix numbers as the reissue obviously, but this pressing has rubber stamped labels. 500 copies pressed, all hand numbered on the back of the sleeve. Most on black vinyl, some on blue and 50 on turquoise.

***Al copies we have are on black***

Here's the latest list of available Rerun and BDR Records releases along with distro titles, 98% of which are also '70s-'80s reissues. We just got in a whole bunch of high quality Finnish Punk and HC reissues from our friends at Svart Records. We have a copy or two each of the LPs by Kohu-63, Sensuuri and Pelle Miljoona & 1980 that had the vinyl shift in shipping, causing one small seam split/punch through. These are still in shrink and are flawless otherwise. We are offering these at a couple bucks off the regular price. lf you don't mind a small flaw, please inquire about these copies.

M.O.T.O.-Golden Quarter Hour Of M.O.T.O. 7"EP
(2013-Rerun/Blast of Silence Records) (RERUN #014 - BOS013)

In the '80s-'90s, M.O.T.O. released numerous tapes that were filled with lo-fi recordings of fuzzy Garage Pop classics. Paul Caporino (aka M.O.T.O. aka Masters Of The Obvious) switched over to strictly full-band studio recordings some time in the late '90s. A new location and a renewed interest in his trusty 4-track has Paul back to his roots.

We've chosen our favorites from recent recording sessions and turned them into a must-own piece of vinyl. We've managed to squeeze eight big hits onto a 7"EP that clocks in at a whopping fifteen minutes! The release of this EP also kicks off M.O.T.O.'s Summer 2013 tour of China.

Co-released by Rerun Records (USA) and Blast of Silence Records (Finland). We've pressed 650 copies total. All come in a heavy glue pocket sleeve. 500 black vinyl and 150 on red vinyl with a special tour sleeve/overlay that will be sold only on the 2013 Chinese tour.

M.O.T.O. is currently on tour in China, and they have the limited tour edition with them for sale at the shows. Each label has a very limited number of tour and test press editions available for mailorder. You can get them from Rerun at the M.O.T.O. store: http://www.rerunrecordsstl.com/STORE.html#!/~/category/id=1462831&inview=product24158952&offset=0&sort=addedTimeDesc Only 2 test pressings left and just a handful of tour editions.

There's a new article on M.O.T.O. by our old pal Scott Bass on Perfect Sound Forever, and he's arranged for a Chinese tour diary to be published as well! Read it here: http://www.furious.com/perfect/moto.html

Antimation-MONO-TYPES 12"ep
1981-own label

An obscure rarity from St. Louis! Decent to really good punky pop rock and sorta Paisley Underground-ish sounds. The band was led by Tony from the Camaros who were one of the first-wave Punk bands from the area. They had Mike Yaffe who was between his stints in Max Load and Bob Leach who was in Trained Animal (Test Patterns comp) and the infamous MRR-baiting White Pride. The drummer is Mike Doskicil, who was also in White Pride and the front man for sludge-core legends Drunks With Guns. Of course, this doesn't sound like any of those bands.

The record was never issued in a cover. A few may have been sold in blank jackets, but most (probably all) without any jacket at all. 500 copies were pressed, but according to the band, as many as a couple hundred were tossed out or damaged in storage. They made an 8 1/2" x 14" piece of art with titles/info which was printed on red construction paper. The record was never distributed outside the St. Louis area, and less than 100 were sold when the band was active. Most probably came with the art work but many of those probably never survived the trip home after a gig. Some copies were later sold at local reunion gigs and other events, but the record is still virtually unknown outside of St. Louis. Almost every other copy of the art work was used for the blank backside for set lists, scratch paper or even lost in moves or just tossed out. We estimate that only 100-150 copies at most actually received the art, including any copies sold in recent years. We first learned about the record in 2000, and of the 10-12 copies we've seen in used bins or private collections since, we've only encountered a couple with the original art.

We obtained the last remaining copies of the original, unplayed vinyl from the band. We've housed them in a blank white jacket and made high quality (and now larger 11" x 17") reprints of the original artwork.

Peer Pressure-Sounds (aka Music) 2x7"EP
(2013-Rerun Records) (RERUN #020)
It was just a couple of guys from Connecticut, not a "proper" band in any sense of the word. One had great chops and songs while the other had lyrics and an endless supply of brilliant ideas. Even if they were never a functioning live band, the two recorded some of the most amazing homemade Punk Rock between 1979-1980.

A four song 7"EP was released on Mother's Day in 1980 (in celebration of "That's Why They Call 'Em Moms") on their own Resistance Records. They intended the EP to look like something from the generic food/household products line. It was issued with appropriately designed labels and no picture sleeve. The band imploded soon after its release. With no live gigs in people's minds, no real distribution and no cover screaming PUNK ROCK; the record and band quickly faded into obscurity.

The obvious hit of the EP ("Sound Of The '80s") was included on a Killed By Death bootleg compilation in the mid '90s, but it wasn't until a medal-worthy search in 1999 by world champion record hounds Ryan Richardson and Jason Litchfield that the band and their story was discovered. That contact also resulted in Ryan issuing the unreleased Eve of Destruction EP as a limited 7" titled 1979/1980.

This deluxe reissue includes remastered versions of both the Sounds of the '80s EP and the 1979/1980 EP. The vinyl is packaged in a heavy, folder style pocket cover and comes with a 5"x7" postcard and a 7"x14" insert including liner notes and other Peer Pressure evidence.
