These started shipping today. Copies on the way to Revolver, Goner, Florida's Dying, Inflammable Material (UK) already. Soon to Get Hip, Fusetron (he got some Antimation, too) and a then to a bunch more stores.

You can preview audio and find easy-to-click Paypal buttons for single copies here: http://www.rerunrecordsstl.com/Peer_Pressure.html

We made a couple dozen 1" Peer Pressure buttons, too. All direct mailorder copies get 'em for free while supplies last.

We are out of BOB 7"s. We have less than 10 Manic Depressive/0:30 Second Flash mLPs. We're also getting low on M.O.T.O.-Bolt! and E Pluribus M.O.T.O. LPs, VOM 7"s (less than 10 color sleeves left) and Reactors is getting low. If we repress any of these, it'll be several months. Just to let you know, in case you still need 'e,m.

OK, last call on Antimation. I now have 9 copies left that are unspoken for. I have another 8 on hold for people, and if someone flakes, those will be available. I'll leave this up until Wednesday or Thursday, but then the last will be sold at a Rerun/BDR Records tribute/release show this Friday in St. Louis.

In case you are in the area, here's the show info:

Looks great, Jason! Nice that all six tracks will be available for those that weren't around 10+ years ago when the unreleased 45 came out.

No credit on the manhunt over here? (At least it wasn't as bad as the Artifix site saying that a "Japanese collector scouring myspace" located Jackie Shark.)

Sorry, you're right. I'll correct that. Not sure why I dissed you in the promo text.

You are thanked in print on the insert and have free copies coming. :)

I also just got in the 3 early Swedish reissues on Re-Ken/Ken Rock the other day. All three are great, with the Br?lb?jz being (I think) essential.

Br?lb?jz (LLR)‎-D?dens Apostlar 7"ep (white vinyl and a few of the ltd black copies)
Sk?ms-Konfirmationen 7" (got in both covers/colors of vinyl)
P-Nissarna‎-Jugend 7"

The vinyl showed up yesterday afternoon, so these will start shipping out early next week. I'll have more info up on the website and it added to the web store this weekend, otherwise single copy ordering info is above. Here's what it all looks like:

51
All orders paid so far have shipped as of this morning. Thanks to all that ordered. I'm down to 14 or 15 copies as of writing this, but some were wholesaled so others will have it for a bit. I'll leave this up here for a few more days, but then the rest of the copies will probably be sold at a Rerun/BDR release show on Friday or consigned to local stores.
52
Thanks for the response on these! Buncha copies already claimed, but we have some left....about 35 as of this morning. If the rest don't move here in the next 3-5 days, I'll probably be offering some copies wholesale. Anybody looking for wholesale, send me a PM or email and you could probably wrestle a few from me now.

Is Inside My Brain a spare?

Nope, I've been looking for this pressing for years.  And I'm keeping my 2nd press as it's a promo with lots of interesting extra paper inserted.

I think we've discussed this before, but you're saying there's a version with a non tip-on (aka direct to board printed) sleeve? I've only ever seen the tip-on version.

I just checked my IMB on Bad Trip, and it's a direct to board printed jacket. I know you two have brought this up before, but I would have thought this was second press. I think I've seen mostly (all?) tip-on style jackets. Now I'm curious, too.

Antimation-MONO-TYPES 12"ep
1981-own label

An obscure rarity from St. Louis! Decent to really good punky pop rock and sorta Paisley Underground-ish sounds. The band was led by Tony from the Camaros who were one of the first-wave Punk bands from the area. They had Mike Yaffe who was between his stints in Max Load and Bob Leach who was in Trained Animal (Test Patterns comp) and the infamous MRR-baiting White Pride. The drummer is Mike Doskicil, who was also in White Pride and the front man for sludge-core legends Drunks With Guns. Of course, this doesn't sound like any of those bands.

The record was never issued in a cover. A few may have been sold in blank jackets, but most (probably all) without any jacket at all. 500 copies were pressed, but according to the band, as many as a couple hundred were tossed out or damaged in storage. They made an 8 1/2" x 14" piece of art with titles/info which was printed on red construction paper. The record was never distributed outside the St. Louis area, and less than 100 were sold when the band was active. Most probably came with the art work but many of those probably never survived the trip home after a gig. Some copies were later sold at local reunion gigs and other events, but the record is still virtually unknown outside of St. Louis. Almost every other copy of the art work was used for the blank backside for set lists, scratch paper or even lost in moves or just tossed out. We estimate that only 100-150 copies at most actually received the art, including any copies sold in recent years. We first learned about the record in 2000, and of the 10-12 copies we've seen in used bins or private collections since, we've only encountered a couple with the original art.

We obtained the last remaining copies of the original, unplayed vinyl from the band. We've housed them in a blank white jacket and made high quality (and now larger 11" x 17") reprints of the original artwork.

You can preview 3 of the 5 songs here: http://www.divshare.com/download/24027091-874

$26.00ppd U.S.  / $34.00ppd Canada /  $41.00ppd rest of world

Peer Pressure-Sounds (aka Music) 2x7"EP
(2013-Rerun Records) (RERUN #020)
It was just a couple of guys from Connecticut, not a "proper" band in any sense of the word. One had great chops and songs while the other had lyrics and an endless supply of brilliant ideas. Even if they were never a functioning live band, the two recorded some of the most amazing homemade Punk Rock between 1979-1980.

A four song 7"EP was released on Mother's Day in 1980 (in celebration of "That's Why They Call 'Em Moms") on their own Resistance Records. They intended the EP to look like something from the generic food/household products line. It was issued with appropriately designed labels and no picture sleeve. The band imploded soon after its release. With no live gigs in people's minds, no real distribution and no cover screaming PUNK ROCK; the record and band quickly faded into obscurity.

The obvious hit of the EP ("Sound Of The '80s") was included on a Killed By Death bootleg compilation in the mid '90s, but it wasn't until a medal-worthy search in 1999 by world champion record hounds Ryan Richardson and Jason Litchfield that the band and their story was discovered. That contact also resulted in Ryan issuing the unreleased Eve of Destruction EP as a limited 7" titled 1979/1980.

This deluxe reissue includes remastered versions of both the Sounds of the '80s EP and the 1979/1980 EP. The vinyl is packaged in a heavy, folder style pocket cover and comes with a 5"x7" postcard and a 7"x14" insert including liner notes and other Peer Pressure evidence.

Heya!

I'm putting together a new 7" set sale list that will have at least 300-400 records I've never offered before as well as another few hundred that have been stored/not offered for a couple years. The list is too large to post here or other forums, so I'll be uploading a multi-page PDF of the sale list that you can download.

The sale is all over the map. It's 85% or more Punk, New Wave, Power Pop, HC, indie from '70s-'90s with a handful of post '90s things. I'll try not to make you slog through tons of '90s crud to see the better '70s-'80s stuff. Any of the common stuff or out-right crap will be sent to the last few pages as part of a separate bargain list. There aren't any $$$ items on the list, but there will be some medium-rare things and clean, affordable copies of more common, but classic Punk, New Wave, Indie singles in there. The '90s stuff is mainly decent to great Garage and Garage Punk with some HC and Pop Punk.

The list will first go out to past customers and others already subscribed to my Rerun Records email newsletter. I'll remove sold items and post the link to the list here and other public places after those people have a full week to respond. If you want to make sure you receive it first, you can sign up for the Rerun Crud newsletter on the front page of www.RerunRecordsSTL.com The newsletter only goes out when there are new label releases or new set sale lists, so we don't bother you much once you subscribe.

The list is about half done, and I hope to have it finished within the next two weeks at most.

Thanks
Jason

New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: The Brats-Rock Candy LP
« on: April 16, 2013, 01:00:48 PM »
Anybody who still needs the Brats-Rock Candy LP....I just got in a bunch more copies. Covers are actually clean, or at least not with the usually amount of bumped corners and bends from Italian postal beatings. It's worth owning for sure. Decent enough sound, and some killer songs on it.

It's listed here: http://www.rerunrecordsstl.com/STORE.html#!/~/product/id=18066162

I also have stock of the new Rave Up/Synthetic Shadows releases:
SPIKE-YEAH YEAH... BABY!/LP/RUR #68 (Spike Penetrator tapes from the early '70s!)
THE STILETTOS-PUNK TRAMPOLINE/LP/RUR #69
DEAD NITTELS-EARLY SONGS 1981-1983/LP/EPS #10
INTOLERANCE-INTOLERANCE/LP/SS #4
DIAFRAMMA-DEMOS 1982/LP/SS #5

and copies of this Italian boot for the same price:
V/A-Killed By Synth
http://www.discogs.com/Various-Killed-By-Synth-Vol1/release/3949573

See info/art here for the time being:
http://www.raveuprecords.com/2012/

They'll be on the web store soon. They're all $14.50 each. $12.00 each if you buy 5 or more Rave Up titles...plus postage.

Followed up on a lead of some "retro new wave/punk" records that came into a local store that rarely has anything remotely punk. It was well worth the trip for a pile of nice price 7"s. Strangely no bigger name bands in the box, so maybe it was leftovers from a collection or something. You'd think there'd be a Sex Pistols or a big US band in with this stuff. A chunk of it (Le Rock, Benders, Baby Knockers, Blitz, etc) were cheapo blind buys and are mostly sub-par powerpop-ish rock. I was happy to get a copy of the 1st Pretty Poison finally and Buddy Love was a long time want. Proper ID is a cool unknown to me 45. Sleeveless things L-R are 2nd Fools Face (which I thought was an upgrade to my VG- sleeveless copy, but it's warped/jumps. Ugh.), Blitz (some U.S. pop/rock band), The Glands (Canadian rock wave/novelty punk) and Secret Rocker.

Anyone know anything about the one to the right of Pretty Poison. Sleeve was trashed with clean vinyl, and I almost passed since it looked like bad synth pop at first. It's really cool minimal synth. It says "The Incredible Humanoid Robot Band" in small letters across the top of the sleeve, but no mention of that on the labels. Just the R'S.

How about the Kevin Lee? It has a small red paper insert and a color photo of him. I think there's a white paper insert missing. Does anyone know if all/some of these came with photos of him or if that's something added to this copy? Frankie Teardrop, looking at you.

Dear John with original sleeves and both Langrehr 7"s are up for sale/trade.

I've only seen about 5 Kevin Lee's and none of them had a photo insert. I'm not sure about a red insert either. I have one copy with a promo stamp and one "regular" edition with nothing abnormal about it. That's a pretty hot pull from a 2013 record store.

That Kevin Lee photo looks pretty hot. My copy of the Kevin Lee single has a mail-order form for a Kevin Lee and Heartbeat t-shirt and a fan club slip that you could use to request pictures, the monthly newsletter(?), and the monthly calendar. Anyone ever seen any of this merchandise or a copy of the newsletter?

The red insert I refer to is the mailorder insert for the newsletter and T-shirt. Never seen either of those things. I'm guessing not many survived. The photo is a vintage Kodak print with the old rounded corners. Maybe this person took it or maybe it was randomly inserted. It's a cool picture of him.

The Glands (Canadian rock wave/novelty punk).

If it's the Glands that I think it is, it New York area and if you decide you don't want it let me know.

Tommy

It's this one.

Maybe it is NYC. Label is Some Records out of Ontario and I just assumed. I think I'm going to hang onto it for now. I'll let you know if I decide to get rid of it.
