Used Records For Sale/Auctions/Wantlists / help needed to sell an instrument

I have a black & white 1973 model 4001 Rickenbacker bass that I regretfully must part with. I had the Rick O Sound gutted out, because it was just beyond repair, but the other jack works perfectly. It's a real beauty with the checkered board trimming on the body.

And here's my question -which is better to sell an instrument on? On ebay or Craigslist? I know that ebay and paypal charge exhorbient amount of fees and it is kind of a pain to pack and ship a bass. But Craigslist probably wouldn't have too many competition, so I may not get a whole lot of money.

Any suggestions?

Music Shit / The most memorable show you saw in 2007

For me, it was Tyvek at the Hemlock back in May. They played with Cheveu that night. It just seemed like it was one of those rare nights that the band and the crowd "gelled" without any forced excitement and just simply had a good time. Awesome show.

many years ago, I was living with this girl from LA and her family was up visiting for xmas and staying with us. On xmas eve, she left the house with her sister to go to work at the bar (where I also worked). 2 blocks down the street from our house, my room mate's car was struck on the driver's side by another car that was going at 90 miles, driven by a drunk driver. My room mate died instantly and her sister was in the hospital for 6 months. I felt awful leaving for Hawaii the next day to meet with my family who were flying out there, but I just really wanted to be with my family.
Whoa, sorry about a depressing topic.

I went to the mel-o-dee cocktail lounge
what a depressing place.
I was asked what I wanted when I went in, I said I was considering a martini or a margarita.
the bartender said that she made them both very well.
so I asked for a margarita.
it was the worst I have ever had.
the old people on my left were talking about the racoons, then prescription drug costs, then the credit card mess up with the union 76 gas station.
the older ladies to my right talked about some one coming to visit the entire time.
I was there 20 min.
this place was depressing.
if you want a scene bring more than you need with you, this place will zap at least some of it.
and order simple drinks that can't be messed up, like something out of a can.

Non-Music Shit / Sharing a practice space can be a bitch

OK, so this guy who practices in the same studio was apparently using my amp and now the amp is broken. And he doesn't look like he's going to fix it. He hasn't even contacted me. If it was me using someone else's equipment especially without permission and broke it, I'd have it fixed right away. I mean, that's common sense, right? But then again, I haven't even been in there in a long time and just left the amp in there so I feel like I can't really bitch about it.

I hate dealing with shit like this, so I'd appreciate some advise from you termbo-ers.
