Couldn't we save our money, and go get crab instead?

...or we can go to Hawaiian Drive Inn in the Outer Mission at Onondaga...super cheap, great BBQ, burger, chicken katsu and stupid big portions...and wander off to Pissed Off Pete's for some beer...

"Ray get a job, so you can hang with the big kids (and I'm not talking about the long haired pot smoking cretin variety)"

So by "big kids", you mean old people?

"Let's see what kind of horribly rude things Ray can say in public at this eatery"

You saw where I was gonna go with this before you edited it, didn't you?
Ray you know I'm fond of you and my words only come with the best intentions, don't you? By the way, mean old people are cool and you my friend should respect your elders! You might get a free burger out of it. Mitch you'll take care of that won't you?

yeah Ray, remember that it would be wise to not get too chummy with the cretin variety.
BTW, we'll just put Ray's burger on Chris O's Amex, yes?

I demand to be the youngest person there.

too late. you're too jaded.

I'm in, but I'm an eater with an inability to finish a meal in one sitting. Can I bring along a 'helper' to split burgers with?

"yeah, I'll bring you home some dosa" "and some BBQ too"
Uh-huh.

Well, I hope he'll at least get a pickle or a patty crust this time.

"She Says" by Tweezers. The melody, Fifi's voice...it's a perfect power pop song.

i dunno, i will take the Slow Club grass fed fag burger for $5 more over Tony's Cable Car frozen patty any day.  It's like $30 at Joe Cable Car these days but you know.  Why is it any different from ordering a steak?  They may have $9 steaks at the Alley in Oakland but for $19 you're going to be a lot happier down the street at Luka's.  Dulce, i will pay you $9 to smell today's farts from up close?  OK, ok $19 ?

oh i see...Warning - while you were typing 2 new replies have been posted. You may wish to review your post....well, i am totally down for that of course.  I am a free white man with an American Express card so bring on your grass fed burgers NOPA.

funny you mention Joe's Cable Car cuz I was just there with Pops and we managed to spend 42 bucks there -1 hamburger, 1 cheese burger, 1 small fries, 1 large onion rings and 2 beers. Good burger, but very expensive for what it is. And then we went to the 7 Mile House a couple of days ago and spent 53 bucks on a really good 1/2 lb cheese burger & fries, pork adobo w rice, 7 beers and a well drink. I love that place.

As you can see, I'm spending all my money on burgers so you need to put my bill on your Amex along with Dulce's bill.

I am gonna go with the patty melt at Bill's Place.
Yes Bill's is aces, but we are about to venture in unchartered beef realms I hope you will come along for the ride!

Dulc, you need to add 7 Mile House on the list.

Put me down for Thursday.

Super hungry early today! Caprese Salad from Hazel's, but I think I walked away with a serious girl crush on this Barthalona-accented brunette beauty of a sandwich girl. Whoa?!

Hahaha! Nothing beats the "th" in Barthalona...down right sexy!

I feel better today...totally sick yesterday and worked like a dog and no lunch. Today I'm going to get me some General Tso's Tofu at Crispy Fry in Public Market here in E-ville.

That's a Warrior fan speaking, isn't it? I'd hold a grudge against him if I were a Warrior fan, too. He threw away a good thing there as a rookie. But if you were watching him nearly 80 times a year for the best four years of his career, you might say the opposite was true. I'd seen him play tough D in 4th quarters against the top PFs many times.

…why of course! Yes, I am a Warriors fan but I don’t hold a grudge against Webber. If I hold a grudge against anyone in the organization, that would be Cohan and the front office of that era.

Didn’t Barkley call him a softy too?

That should read Chris Webber pre-injury was a good defender...when he wanted to be. But even pre-injury he studiously avoided contact in the paint. Chris Webber and "take a charge" are not two phrases that go together very often.

Totally agree with Webber not being a big defender even in the pre-injury days. If you remember the Webber vs Nellie conflict back in Golden State (that eventually lead to the Tom Gugliotta/Rony Seikaly disaster after Webber’s departure), his dissatisfaction started with Nellie wanting Webber to post up to accomodate his small line up, and Webber not wanting to get in there because he hated contact. He certainly had the quickness to receive the pass but hated getting banged up getting in. He just never was a physical threat.

Gai/Zouo split bootleg lp.
whoa, the Zouo side is especially brilliant.

I have a Zouo tattoo!

That German split LP boot used a copy of the Zouo bootleg as its source, which was pretty weak.  The original bootleg 7" was taken from my Zouo EP by friends of mine, who then totally fucked up distribution of the thing so badly that I ended up unloeading them all, leading to the rumour that I had put it out, which wasn't really true (I would've done much better covers).

The Gasmask EP is awesome too-- another Japanese gem that I regret selling relatively cheap about 15 seconds before the value of all these things skyrocketed with the internet.

Zouo tattoo??! Whoa, now that is hardcore.
yeah, the sound is kind of inconsistant...not to mention the weak cover with the ugly sticker.
Gastank ep must go for hundreds of dollars now…yeah, it’s crazy to see how the 80’s Japanese hardcore records have become such hot commodities here in recent years.

What is that? I've never heard of either band.

Zouo was a hardcore band from Osaka in the early 80’s. They were on AArecords but I guess there aren’t very many recordings of them from what I understand. They’re on the Hardcore Unlawful Assembly along with the other AA bands like Laughin Nose (before they got melo-core), Lip Cream and Outo (Zouo’s vocal’s young brother was the vocal for Outo). Gism was the only non AA band on the comp. I wish I had a copy. It’s sad what happened to AArecords after Laughin left.
