Do you hate Led Zeppelin too because Ben Weasel (said he)does?

Also agree with Dino that a lot of people hate The Dead because of the "Dead Heads", and not the actual music(which definitely has it's fucking moments, imo).

they had one decent song "touch of gray" the rest of it sucks.  heads.

wait - that's your idea of 'the one decent Dead song'?!
not only is it the one decent dead song, it is also their only song.  playing a bunch of random notes haphazardly strewn together does not a song make.  my best friend is a total deadhead and it all sounds like masturbatory bullshit to me.  yeah, the guy had some talent and could play a guitar, big fucking deal.  at least touch of gray is catchy and to the point.  rambling nonsense for a half hour i can do without.
American Beauty and Workingman's Dead are full of HITS.

Last night at the Ball Park was fantastic. Great hearing some Dead songs blaring over the PA and great to see Weir, Lesh, Mountain Girl, and Bill Walton. I however boo'd Mickey Hart.
You seem like a good man.

It was incredibly quiet in The Haight last night.  Lotsa slow-walking folks, heads down, mourning.  Amoeba let out a bunch of used Dead shit yesterday too.
hehehe hahahaha

If you run a label and for whatever reason you are not hearing anything that great lately, do you take the year off? Or do you just release something to release something. Even if you're not all that stoked on it.

mmmm i don't really know at all what cookie cutter means... but i imagine that something like not being a turkey or close minded

i disagree here.. i think labels should have a sound. let's say rip off with his own brand of punk rock, s-s with his angular punk aesthetic or even dirtnap with his new wavy punk / power pop. i mean.. if a label is really open where is it's identity?? it's easy to dislike a label for that reason but they are working on something and make a difference between their record labels and others around.

i think i haven't explain really well what i want to say but my english can't make it better
That's what I was TRYING to say. I like when a label has their own distinct "sound", yet not every band has to sound the same.

I prefer labels who are consistant with their output, without having too much of a cookie-cutter sound, say like Rip Off or Fat.

Comma usage is the key. Strike that second comma and he is correct in saying Rip Off and Fat have a cookie cutter sound. Keep the comma there and might have to pop punk this joker.
Oops. Never did too good in skool. Strike the 2nd comma.
