So is the Lamps' Haunted George cover supposed to played at 33? I tried it both and it sounds okay both ways. I know the record says 33, but that doesn't always mean it's right.

Okay, I just listened to this a couple of more times and am almost positive that the rpm labels got switched on the two sides. Lamps sounds better at 45 to my ears, and HG is obviously meant for 33. Am I the only one?

yes - you are correct good sir - the folks at the pressing plant bungled this one i believe - my understanding is that itr said that they sent a revised label and yet the incorrect one was still used. LAMPS 45  Haunted George 33.  Apologies.

as someone that lives in los angeles and plays in a band - i have got to say hearing the accolades of this fair city's music "scene" is a tad baffling.  to me most of the shows consist of the same 3-4 bands playing at a very limited number of venues, to a very limited number of people.  I have seen abe vigoda and liked them just fine, nothing too mind blowing though...as sad as this may sound i would love to hear of any recommendations on bands to check out in my own goddamned city that i may have not heard of.
