it does have one of those songs about being interested sexually in a fifteen year old, and even though it's got a weird dystopian sci-fi bent to the lyrics, those songs are just incredibly cringeworthy in 2019.

What is the youngest age a pedo-rocker has sung about? Child Molesters "13 is My Lucky Number" and the like don't count because they are intentionally shocking. They go much younger than "only 17"...

...and why weren't these songs red-flagged long ago?
A candidate: Original Sins' "Just 14"

Salmon was hammered when I saw them and it weirdly added to the whole spectacle

Or you can just buy it on Amazon for 15 bucks

Claw Hammer- s/t- forever underrated, this holds up on every level, and even better live.

Brother JT- Tornado Juice- a soft return to the Sins? sound, more garagey than the psych freak outs of later efforts. Nothing here can touch ?Sweatpants,? but if you dig the man?s shit, you will enjoy this.

Stick men With Ray Guns- Grave City- solves most late-night problems, clarity guaranteed.

Sarah Shook and the Disarmers- Years- not as good as the previous one, but still damn solid, my favorite new country voice.

Eric Bachman- No Recover- huge fan, but ain?t yet feeling this one- time has revealed why earlier albums worked, so as with most things, patience.

Tonight, it is clearly If You Want  Blood - better riff than Riff Raff? Hard to imagine.

Drift back Friday...

NoMeansNo- Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed- the Rush of punk?
Didjits- Hey Judester-  in some beautiful universe, Max Wedge/Stingray/Plate in My Head is the national anthem
Leaving Trains- Kill Tunes- doesn?t anybody cross dress and belt out punk anthems anymore?
The Donnas- s/t- where did fun go?
The Dirtys- You Should Be Sinnin?- you really should
Minutemen- Double Nickels on the Dime- somehow I can?t listen to this record without wee man?s ass crossing my image transom, but hey, that was a jazz riff

Non-Music Shit / Re: Easiest way to move records?

I moved in April, only 15 blocks from my old pad, 48 boxes of LPs.  Used the Medium size box from U-Haul or comparable moving / packing center, which seemed specifically designed to hold 100ish LPs.  No issues.
Best advise I can give is to purge as you pack.  "Do I really wanna haul this Mick Ronson LP with me to the new pad?'  I sold 1500 LPs to a local shop in advance of my recent move.  I don't have a single regret about anything I ditched.
which shop? I'll need to get down there.

thanks- I'm a lazy sack of shit

I thought that avatar was the guy you fight at the end of Street Fighter 2
I thought he was the lead singer of Throwrag

The Hookers- collection of shit I ripped a hundred years ago- sometimes you need the big, dumb singalong biker rawk in the morning, and "Let's Get High" is still one of the best anthems.

Bantam Rooster- those riffs + that voice = enduring power, and not one of those three records ever gets old in these ears.

The Dirtys - You Should be Sinning- annual revisit that never fails to bring the smile
