Leaving Trains- Kill Tunes - always loved the first five records, but haven't played this in a while and it still delivers

Music Shit / Records You Forgot Were Good

When bored, I sometimes reach blindly into the stacks and play whatever I yank. Usually, few surprises.  Tonight, Johnny Thunders' So Alone sounded awesome and much better than I remembered.  Pulled anything out lately that you forgot was good?

Non-Music Shit / Re: Bed Wetting Behavior

Many years ago we had a bunch of people over and one of my buddies passed out in the bathroom so some girl took his bed and when he woke up he walked to his bed and pissed all over her. Makes a certain sense.

Where is Reagan Youth when you need them?

I'm pretty sure you don't want that question answered.
that's why it was sarcastically rhetorical, but thanks for caring

Oh, I care a lot.  Thank you for bringing your rhetorical sarcasm/sarcastic rhetoric to an internet message board.
any time, sweetheart

I was curious what touring is like for bands who have been at it for awhile but don't have Albini's name recognition.  Aside from the fact that van life must be a nightmare for middle-age folk, can bands like The Cheater Slicks make any more money now? I understand all the reasons why especially older bands can't/won't tour, but does the model Albini describes "trickle down" (yikes) at all? Did I just say trickle down? Where is Reagan Youth when you need them?

Laughing Hyenas- You Can't Pray a Lie- what else could you possibly want on a frustrating Saturday evening- in fifteen minutes, the catharsis will be total
Cool. Recently watching a bunch of their live vids as well as this Detroit Punks episode on John Brannon http://youtu.be/jFaXYsdEsGs .. Just a guy who wanted to "Fuck shit up" and still does as he says multiple times throughout.  Really loved the Hyenas in the 90's, i should go back to revisit their albums soon.
Thanks for that- revisited all their records on a very drunk Saturday and woke up smiling- forgot what a monster that first ep is

Musk- sounds like the nastier bits from Beasts of Boubon's Sour Mash divided by a meaner Beguiled- that's a very good thing, for the confused

I like the way this kid thinks. We should hire him.

i tossed that on tonight and chucked it in my pile for some shitty party this weekend. still going though the stacks. Feral Beat 7" on TTT is real good, but a bit unrealized. They still around?
Hoping to get out early, eh?

Rapeman- Two Nuns and a Pack Mule- Jesus, "Just Got Paid"  is a righteous cover

Big Black - Songs About Fucking- hadn't pulled this out in years, and now I'm wondering why- filthy melodies
