A few of the usual snooty "hardcore died" replies from sad garage "rockers". Nae worries, grampa!

Okey dokey.

HC did die. I invented it. Springa killed it.

What else ya got?
Oooooh, attitude! Lots of smartarse comments as per, but that's all you've got.

It's still alive. You might not like it, but it's still here.

Yeah, just joshing. Joking. Trolling. Trying to sabotage this crucial discussion.

But I have come to a place of peace regarding the ongoing survival of HC punk...The "power-violence" genre, however...

I will say that, for me, Poison Idea was the only HC band that truly integrated a metal sound while leaving the hc and punk  dominant. Solid in the 90s.  Fuck DRI, just change your name...

Good rawk riff sense and the vocs maybe...GG's Skate To Hell single carries the album. I saw them around then on a metal bill with Hirax, Megadeth and Exciter, I think...

I seem to remember an alarming  ;D photo of 400 in Touch and Go but dont have the book and can't find it online.

Is that Baker hiding ?

Did see Biscuits in Danzig on a massive column riser ~ I thought he might fly off!

I had a Junkyard tshirt ~ come at me!

Who can feel overly happy these days?  :-\

I did delve metal-wise. Checking out the Thou covers of Nirvana. I'd only heard of Thou recently. Anarchist black metal then? oh wait, the correct term is Antifascist Black Metal...And oh my Vice already covered it two years, you're so out of it gramps...

Anyhow, I think the early Nirvana stuff really works well with their style, just wish they would've done Negative Creep!

Their Supernaut cover is pretty super too

I'm asking myself ~ Do I need an edumacation about the state of millenie yut in Middle America? Just bedroom Daniel Johnston of death metal might be all the information I need/can handle.

It's incredible how much more "normal" he was back then

Obviously. As soon as grandma gave him the asbergers out he was done. Finally had an excuse to do whatever he wanted and have something to blame it on

Maybe it is all the late 70s powerpop I have been rocking, but I am a bit ascared to dig into this guy...

STRAW MAN ARMY lp is ambitious and intelligent and great. highly recommended. picture a weird mix of proletariat and crass and uranium club or history is what's happening era the Ex, if you need an idea to make you listen

It seems like The Smarts swim the same waters as Straw Man Army but after a highly scientific back-to-back playing, I think I prefer the Smarts new one ~ but maybe I was just in the mood for something brighter and bouncier. I do think I like SMA better than the Kaleidoscope stuff I've checked out...

Playing this YT channel all day long ~ classic or not punk singles, in a nutshell or a nutsack...

You don't love me yet

Punk is dead and it's not...simultaneous oppositional binaries are what make the world go round but it can become tiresome at times, thus we seek their soft resolution in harsh sounds.
Something someone somewhere today told me to listen to DNA - A Taste of DNA. I will do this

Are you on the Zine Chatter and FE groups on FB? I saw some posts about early FEs but I seem to remember general agreement that they are rare birds. I only bought the last "punk" one with the Misfits cover, in real time, but sold or gave it away. I still have all the later ones but I probably can't my hands on them until next spring ~ inshallah  :'(
I have 4 or 5 early to middlin (?) Conflicts. Those would be easy to scan...next year tho...
Speaking of which, I'd like to get my hands on some of the Bull Tongue Reviews. I think they were available briefly in digitial format. I do have three physical issues here though...they'll fall apart eventually... ;D

Forgot about that latest Raspberry Bulbs ~ didn't realize it is on Relapse...Love them and it. Bone Awl is really the only crusty black thrash whatever I like and it's great to see them evolve...
So, listening to that and the new Lamps a few times because it wasn't loud enough the first time...
