THE BLACK JASPERS - s/t vinyl LP
The Black Jaspers are King Khan (King Khan & BBQ, Shrines, ect, ect) and Jasper Hood (Moorat Fingers) getting together for an exercise in lowest common denominator, lowest fidelity punk stupidity imaginable. The Black Jaspers have been playing on and off since 2000  but are only just now getting around to releasing some of their recordings. This debut album was recorded in 2001 and has sat in King Khan's vaults aging like a fine wine ever since. Not until now has the King decided to unleash this record on the public. Twelve tracks of retardation inspired by the likes of the Angry Samoans, Electric Eels, Mentally Ill, and any of the dumbest Killed By Death tracks you care to name. Goner says it's reminiscent of The Persuaders.

For these latest recordings Haunted George has entered a real recording studio and added Jimmy Hole (Necessary Evils) on second guitar and Monty Buckles (Lamps) on synthesizer. The results are the most powerful Haunted George yet.

Christmas Island - Blackout Summer LP/CD
The debut album from this San Diego band who've had a single on Captured Tracks and number of split singles and comps. Citing Tronics, Urinals, Television Personalities, the Clean, Versatile Newts and The Fall as influences, Christmas Island are Beach Boys style pop by way of the late 70's-early 80's UK DIY scene. All brought to you by way of sunny southern Californian culture. The results are sublime.
