Rediscovering Dan Melchoir's Broke Revue "Bitterness...."  Fuck. I forgot how much I like this record.

One of my favorite records I've ever had the pleasure to be involved with.

Larry, you wanna listen to my tape-deck experimentation?  I used a channel of audio that was overloaded and made it spry.  Ramshackle punk like the Oh Sees is the result.

HAHA! It's tempting but, at this point, my roster is pretty full. I'm reserving any space I have left in my release schedule for a band who can deliver an album that will be 2012's equivalent to the Damned's "Machine Gun Etiquette". Yes, I require my artists to aspire to that kind of velocity from here on out.

Hey pop punkers,

Good Bad Not Evil, 200 Million Thousand and Los Valientes Del Mundo Nuevo LPs on In The Red are (finally) available. Get them here: http://www.intheredrecords.com/pages/news.html

Blondie's "Eat To The Beat" was the first album I know of that had a video for every song on the album. It was released as a "Video Album" on VHS and later on DVD. I assumed that this was the inspiration for the Red Aunts doing the same thing but, I was informed by the Red Aunts that I assumed wrong.

hey larry h! oh sees: garage punk or not?

Yes, they are both garage and punk. I hear loads of other things in there too. They just cut a new album with the new two drummer (Lars) line up that was recorded by Chris Woodhouse and I'm hearing some serious Krautrock moves on this one. And it's excellent!

On a totally unrelated note, Woodhouse also recently recorded the new Wounded Lion album, a band that also now has Lars on drums, that is incredible!

#1 Chicken is my favorite. Ghetto Blaster is a close second.

At long last ITR's vinyl issues of of 200 Million Thousand, Good Bad Not Evil and the Live In TJ album will be out next month. Sorry it took so long. Now if we can get Last Of The White Niggers out....

I'm (finally) getting this going. Johan Kugelberg gave me a ton of photos, posters and whatnot to include in the packaging so it's going to have a pretty hefty booklet. I've been putting the re-issues off because the current bands I'm working with keep dropping new albums that have to coincide with tours so I keep throwing this and the Urinals on the back burner. Sorry for the wait. I hope to have these out early next year.

i got all the vengence reissues about ten years ago and have found all the originals since.  why can't vengence repress them?  or was that lux's label (maybe that's why)?  but $20 is absurd fo sho.

Vengeance was Lux & Ivy. I assume Lux's death meant the end of the label.

They kind of let everything go out of print when Lumberjack went under. Ivy plans to get everything back in print. I'll be helping her whenever this finally happens. They had a new Vengeance title all mastered and ready to go before Lux passed away titled Gravest Gravy that's the entire Gravest Hits sessions. She plans to get that out first. It should be really great. None of it has been bootlegged ever.

Idunno I was always partial to Rock 'N' Roll Liquorice Flavour, which seemed overall stronger than Miserable Sinners and more interesting than the singles even though more polished.

This is my favorite album by them as well. Curl Up And Dye is such a great song.

Larry H- will the 7" be Walk up the Street/Wedding Song, or something unreleased???

One album will be the original Don't Like You LP. The other will be all the Don't Like You demos they recorded prior to recording the album, which includes both Walk Up The Street and Wedding Song. The 7" will be an alternate version of Destroy You and a cover of the Geto Boys' Gangster Of Love that were both recorded at the Don't Like You sessions.
