DRUGS DRAGONS & STATIC EYES - Split 7"
(Terror Trash Records, exclusively distributed by Dusty Medical Records)

After self-releasing two sold out singles, Drugs Dragons teamed up with Dusty Medical to release their debut LP and "The Milorganight EP" 12". While the band is readying the release of their 2nd LP, they bring you 2 brand new songs, which may be their most deranged yet - "Waiting Around To Die" and "Fester Breed Scatter". Recorded in a swamp by Jordan Davis (Mystery Girls, Red Mass, Sunday Sinners). Static Eyes, also from Milwaukee, rose from the ashes of the Gut Reactions and continue to blow away audiences lucky enough to catch them. "Frozen" and "Full Of It" were recorded by Tony Sagger. For an idea of what to expect from these guys, check out the video for "Trouble" off their 7" on Windian here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiShBp7bIdI. This split 7" was mastered by Zach Medearis (Outer Minds) and features the artwork of Luke Chappelle.

RAMMA LAMMA "Gang" b/w "We All Know" 7"

After numerous exciting, mysterious, and ultimately very interesting delays, we are proud to announce that this killer single finally sees the light of day! Ryan King and Wendy Norton have a long and storied past filled with bands we all know and love (Kill-A-Watts, Plexi 3, Sagger, The Monitors, Jane Doe & The Cop Haters to name just a few). Ramma Lamma is their most focused project yet, dialing in the sound of 70s glam, bubblegum and good old fashioned punk rock, while sharing guitar, singing and songwriting duties. Having released a spread of sold out singles already, the band is hard at work on their debut full-length. But before they unleash that beast on the world, we're ecstatic to bring you what we think is their best stuff yet - 2 killer tracks, one each from Wendy & Ryan, housed in a sleeve drawn by the insanely talented Ben Lyon, featuring a rendering of the band in homage to the movie poster for the lost classic Vigilante.

Limited to 300 copies (50 on blue vinyl)

Italian heartthrobs Miss Chain & The Broken Heels return once again to American shores, and we here at Dusty Medical couldn't be happier to welcome them to our family! After four singles (“Common Shell”, “Boys and Girls”, “Lie” and this year's “Rainbow”) that sold out in a flash, an album for one of the most prestigious power-pop labels already in its second pressing, rave reviews on both sides of the Atlantic, two US tours and lots of dates all across Europe, Miss Chain & The Broken Heels return with "The Dawn". Having already sold out of the first pressing on Austria's Bachelor Records, the album now sees a US vinyl release here on Dusty Medical (and an also recently-released cassette edition on Burger Records).

MISS CHAIN & THE BROKEN HEELS "The Dawn" LP

“The Dawn” stems from the common effort of the band together with producer Pierluigi Ballarin (The R's) at T.U.P. Studio in Brescia (Italy). Two weeks of live recordings on tape to capture the joy of experimenting in a studio yielded a perfect blend of warm, thick and surrounding sound: it is a complex record that deploys a vast array of sounds, so deep that sometimes you find yourself drifting away with your eyes closed, totally immersed in a mixture of country, rhythm'n'blues, pop and Beatlesesque melodies, surrounded by dreamy landscapes, sometimes even bordering on psychedelia. References to Sixties melodies and sunshine pop are the ideal framing for a record whose sound and content is at the same moment timeless and steeped in the contemporary, the soundtrack to an internal journey which contemplates life and its baggage but it's not afraid of its dark corners.

It has been and continues to be an intense 2013 for Astrid, Silva, Franz and Brown: USA, Canada, Japan at the end of the summer, already having traveled extensively through Italy and Europe to promote the new record in the best way they can: by being on a stage, in front of their audience, spreading their energy through their music and, even if for a little while, taking you along for the ride.

LP limited to 300 copies.

Music Shit / Re: Replacements Reunite...kinda

Josh Freese is the antithesis of punk.

That's the thing - they aren't punk.  They're a rock band, so why would it even matter?

Read his wikipedia page.

i'm not saying he's punk. his wikipedia page and "credentials" are very unpunk. these facts and him being a great drummer aren't mutually exclusive. Like Officer Officer Brad said he plays the songs exactly like the records, which is about all you can hope for in a drummer playing with a reunion band. the last thing you want (and what you normally get) is a tired-ass drummer bringing attention to the fact that there's a bunch of old dudes on stage. That was my whole point of mentioning the Devo show, i had never heard of this guy before that show, and had to look him up just based on how on point he was, watching them all i could think was "there is no way whoever is playing drums is some old dude." go figure it's Nine Inch Nails' drummer...

Sounds like the Toronto show was the better of the two to catch.

And seriously, it's Josh Freese - the dude is better than any original drummer of any band, ever. Chris Mars included.

i have to admit i doubt the Devo show i saw back in 2010 would have been half as killer if it weren't for Josh Freese drumming. He's good!
