Music Shit / Re: Gories Documentary

I'm not gonna lie....I'm enjoying this Gories thread turning into a Veruca Salt thread.

Even funnier if this Gories thread gets pushed into the Pop Punk locker above....

Could this be the first mention of the Waldos on termbo?

Former bandmates just played a gig with him in CT and by all accounts it was good.

Any punk rock lovin person living in or near NYC from 1982-2005 could see the Waldos
pretty much every weekend...at the Continental mostly. And I saw them a ton.

Always good live and their shows were usually poorly attended so you
and a surprising percent of classic NYC punkers would have the place to yourselves.

Supersuckers were funnier when they were "Thai Pink"

YEEEAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Drunk Injuns
Boneless Ones
Get A Grip

Pretty much every Arizona HxC band from 1981-1995 had at least one skate rat...usually two.

I still have mine and would consider parting with it.

I contributed the Conflict U.S. track but mines not numbered for some reason or....
he put the number on the piece of candy I ate 13 years ago....

Broken Talent?

Bad knee injuries (gig related of course) prevents me from going off proper when singing/playing.

I get to move careful and deliberate now....big heap of fun that is.

Minor Threat in the lunchroom of some college in Salt Lake City, UT summer of 83...I had to work and I was broke and it
was 8 hours each way. ....
...yep boy that was just the wrong decision.

2nd biggest shoulda coulda was Misfits in Phoenix summer of 83...I was actually warned off of seeing them as the dude
I called at the Vans store said they may be the loudest most out of tune shit he ever heard and was NOT worth the 400
mile round trip drive. Turns out he was right and word on the street is Misfits were just total crap. This is obviously sour
grapes and little fucking comfort. King lame-o twice in one summer.

This was my third show attended and that night would've made a pretty good movie.

From Shavedneck.com"

"Just what the hell happened at the ill-fated and now infamous Temple show: Social Distortion, Kilroy, and Conflict gig at a great old church turned venue in downtown Phoenix that ended up in total chaos, with the power being cut, a maniacal gun wielding psycho, police being called/beating heads, and even the SWAT team appearing. Gagging Dog cleared up the confusion a bit. Note the portrait of the aforementioned "psycho" taken earlier in the evening. Someone had set up a photo "portrait booth" in the lobby at that show.

"Psycho" was the venue/churches owner and he stopped the show and called the cops on it..after the gun incident.

There was easily 700 kids at this show and most of em (including me and the crew I came up with) got their pics taken at that photo
booth.

I got a nice flashlight to the side of the head...(glancing blow but man it hurt) while trying to run away from the cops...

Probably a good thing the show was stopped as Ness had banged a huge bag about an hour before he was supposed to play...and that has its own side story.

TSOL is playing near here next week. Should I go or is this a lost cause?

Its three of the four OG members...they do lots of oldies and are tight as a drum.
