I certainly feel, especially for the parents/children involved in this situation, but at the same time, listening to people interviewed who were inside the theater, one thing kept popping into my mind "Welcome to Iraq/Afganistan, Mexico, Central America - anywhere else the US wages terror campaigns".

We really do reap what we sow. This is nothing more than life imitating life, really.

yeah.  I was reading some first-hand account of the incident and the guy recounting it described the scene when one of the emergency responders came out with a bloodied 6 year old girl, gasping for air......how a wail went up from the entire crowd, and all I could think was "I wonder how many times a month that's happened in Afghanistan since we've been there?"  the battlefield has come home.

reading the Led Zep IV one at work......this one is really good.  I guess the album itself is easy pickings for the author's analysis (I mean, there's a lot to chew on there, given the fact that it's LED FUCKING ZEPPELIN and that, y'know, it's titled in runes), but the writing is good and I particularly like the first chapter's discussion of the musical medium (the LP, the Ipod) as consumerist fetish object.

can't remember which other ones I've paged through except for the Master of Reality one, which I found to be almost as annoying as a real teenager.

yeah, the baby epidemic spirals ever closer to me, but I remain hopelessly indifferent to babies/children.  I'm happy for my friends that seem happy as parents, although it's quite baffling to me as to WHY such a thing would make you happy.  which is the great thing about modern birth control (seriously.....that stuff is the SHIT):  if babies make you happy, you can make them for as long as you want, then stop, OR if they bore/terrify, you can just opt out altogether and stick to stuff you like (drugs, shitty bands).  I'll be over here with my barren womb and meaningless existence.  happy breeding to all that choose it.

My entire 2nd CDY album was totally unrelated shit (XENOCRONY), but you don't see me trying to be a linguist and inventing words do you?  Where's my WARNER BROS RECORD DEAL?  This guy is an asshole, and everything he released past his first 3 records is unforgivable.
