When I ordered the ALMIGHTY DEFENDERS lp from Vice they sent it to me in large bubble envelope.  That's it, that's all.
It came undamaged, but took for-fucking-ever to arrive.

Man, mine was pretty jacked up, every corner was bent to hell. Also took for ever.

I'm always amazed the hozac records make it to me unscathed. Just a couple of 7"s dropped in an envelope. Came downstairs today to see my mailman cramming one through the mailslot.

If a record is packed well, then the postman usually respects that, especially if there is an insurance sticker on the box, but if it looks like some shit in a cheap mailer, it gets treated as such......

Anyone who has a record out in a bin and decides not to sell it in the end should have their store erased from the planet.

I used to feel bad about the smaller "indie" records stores that had to close, but almost all of them started selling the good records on line, mainly through ebay.... I understand 100% trying to get the most that you can for something, but going to a used store and just looking at all of the common  $1 to $8-10 records all the time sucked, knowing that the guy behind the counter was going to put anything decent on ebay made a lot people stop going...

Music Shit / Re: minus zero records in london.

That's such a shame about Minus Zero / Stand Out!!

I studied abroad in England a few years ago and the handful of times I visited that store are among the fondest, funniest memories I have of being over there. What an odd dynamic there is/was between those two guys. And so much good stuff! Even if I couldn't afford much there, it was a lot of fun to browse through their shelves and gaze at all the amazing items they had hanging on the wall.

Never been anywhere like that before or since. Real bummed to hear this bit of news.

Me too, stopped by a few times, I think on Sundays, and they were closed..... last fall when I was there bought s few 7"ers from left side Bill, and right "side" seemed pissed..... it was a weird set up, but looking back funny now that I think about...going back to London next month so I will certainly stop to grab what I hope are some deals.....

Beanos in Croydon did close, last time I was there it seemed really picked through, levels of stuff, you needed 1/2 a day really to get ahold of the place.

what I have learned from getting fucked:

1. pay with credit card or use credit card to pay through paypal.
2. 30  days, if nothing appears, automatically file claim.
3. when claim is almost over, and shit still has not arrived, get $$ back.
4. never order from person again.
