I was the one who said playing Montreal on a Sunday is a better idea than Friday.  and in my experience it's true.  Last year I played 4 shows in Montreal...3 of which were Fridays, different bands, and different clubs...all empty.  and I'm not putting anything on my own shoulders...the Montreal bands were amazing!!
I'm a superfan of the Walnut Kids..so much so that I'm gonna put out their debut 7" this summer!

I never dissed Montreal, I just said I'd rather play in Sudbury on a Friday night.  I guess that does sound like a diss though.  The epicenter of cultural synergy in Canada, and I'd rather play in Sudbury!  It's funny, c'mon?  Why don't you reshape this experience, and hook us up.  Jugg, me and Bunny will bring any band of hers or mine to Montreal if you put a show on for us!
I'll do a show for Ultra Thin in Ottawa sometime, just ask.

and for the record, Ottawa IS a shitburg, with a scene full of maggots that who show up and squirm all over the party.  nothing special.  just a fun place to party with lots of bands, and a lot of people into partying, playing in bands, going to shows, and doing stupid things!

also for the record, Sudbury has a LOT of people with taste in music.  I played 2 packed shows there last year.  People freaked out for the bands, lots of free beer, they threw a house party after the shows!

also for the record, two things I love - skateboarding and punk rock.  I'll play with 8 skate punk bands any day ,if they're even half as good as the SHEGLANK'D SHOULDERS!!

Ian & Bunzers, D-Dubz are gonna let me know when they can do it.  Gonna make it 100% fun.  What's better, Sudbury or Montreal?  Gonna be:

W - S-Dubz wednesday cheap beer garage rock party in Toronto no White Wirez unless you wanna come
T - RnR Pizza Partay in Ottawa with White Wirez
F- Mountreel or Sudberry with White Wirez
S - Toronto weekend party with White Wirez

I'm disowning you as a friend on Facebook if its  Sudbury over Montreal

personally, I love Montreal.
I love visiting there, I love the people, I love the bars, I love the good cheap food everywhere, I love the larping, I love the streets, everything, that city has long been one of my favourites.  I go atleast 5 or 6 times a year.
as for shows, it's funny.  great bands play to few people all the time.
now for bands like mine that aren't so great, we basically play for our friends.

the White Wires played twice in Montreal last year to the same 12 people each time...the Walnut Kids, the Sonic Avenues, and a couple other Montreal friends.
We played in Sudbury, and 200 people showed up.

Sedatives played the Esco on a Sunday night, and there was a pretty good turnout.  that's why I suggested Sunday.

did people dig the Smith Westerns in Montreal last month??
would those people go out again??
144
That is doable on my end.  S. Dubz are you into it?  Bunny, is yer band into it?

Killer!!!

I'll get back to you with some dates...probably late july or early august.
we'll do it such that White Wires will have our new singles out, and we'll travel with our friends.

I'm putting out 2 other singles on Going Gaga Records, the Walnut Kids and the Joliettes.
I'll have them ready in time too, we can do a 4 band trip!!!
R-Ottawa - pizza party
F-Sudbury
S-Toronto
N-Montreal

145
yeah, this thing fuckin' rules!
I need a box of these pronto.

Jazz is still the enemy. Talent = still boring.
...if they could write great songs.  I wish more bands would start up whose members had great record collections and poor musical ability.
