Non-Music Shit / Re: SoulSEEKERS...

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? The group representing the U.S. music industry says it will abandon its policy of suing people for sharing songs protected by copyright.

The Recording Industry Association of America says that now it will try to stop alleged music pirates by working with Internet service providers to cut access to frequent abusers.

The move ends a controversial program that saw the industry sue more than 30,000 people since 2003 for swapping songs online.

The recording association said Friday that its new efforts with several leading U.S. Internet service providers would provide a meaningful deterrent, so it will wind down its legal assault. The group says it will still carry out cases already filed.

.  I do prefer a separate V/A section at the end of the alphabet, though.
Not organizing your records is utter savagery.

I keep the comps at the front, otherwise strictly alphabetical. it drives me crazy when I can't find something that I need to hear. most cds are stacked on the floor in no order whatsoever! been procrastinating on taking care of this mainly 'cause I certainly do not have enough room.

Yeah Harvest Moon is great. Ragged Glory and Freedom are solid too.

I caught Neil on the Ragged Glory tour, that was the one with Sonic Youth and Social Distortion opening. Made for some interesting reactions from the crowd consisting of a whole bunch of aging hippies expecting "Heart of Gold". Mind you this was just after Ragged Glory came out, arguably the loudest of his career. At one point Thurston Moore was on the ground rolling around with his guitar feeding back, some guy behind me came out with "who the hell is this, Sonic Distortion?" Needless to say, there was no acoustic set that night.

Faves include After the Goldrush, Stars & Bars and yes, Rust.... Welfare Mothers!

my roof leaked after a bad storm, all over my record colletion, and those bags served as nice little containers for a lot of water.

fuck! my roof was leaking and I didn't realize until I tried pulling out a record and it felt like it was stuck! water ran through the comps, h's and p's. I have all my records in bags aside from a few which collected some water, Haunted George and Head collected a ton, most records were fine. did the bags help or make it worse, I dunno.
