Not sure if this poorly titled YouTube vid has been posted here before or not. A friend of mine is researching an amp & heard Stiff Little Fingers used them so he was watching this video. After a bit of scrappy SLF footage the thing goes in to a doc about the UK DIY scene focusing on Rough Trade. Never thought I'd see footage of the Raincoats recording Fairytale in the Supermarket!

Don't even think you're getting Woodhouse's phone number.

Hell, I'll even stand behind some of the Bunnymen's comeback records, especially "What Are You Gonna Do With Your Life?". It's not going to beat the original lineup's records, but the songwriting is still good. I basically think of them as Mac solo records.

I actually think the 2nd Undertones LP is better than the 1st

Totally agree, my go-to of theirs. I'm late to the Screaming Trees party but I'm psyched (and a little surprised) how many people are pro-Trees. I recently found a tape of "The SST Years" and it's been in my car tape deck for weeks. Other than the obvious omission of the first record & Beat Happening EP, it's a perfect comp. Saw them I guess during "Even If..." tour (or maybe Invisible Lantern) and a guy in the back kept yelling "Orange Airplane!" - classic dude that would yell a somewhat obscure request - and Lanegan finally holds the mic out looking dead-to-the-world and says "you fucking sing it".

A friend of mine wants this for Christmas, but discogs is currently hovering around $100. Reissue is fine, don't care if it's in perfect shape etc. PM if you want to make a young lady's Xmas wish come true.

It feels like a clothing catalog for improv and experimental and process-music folks.  T

Yes! I've never quite been able to put my finger on it, but yes.

BBQ spots are definitely trendy in California right now, if that's what we're talking.

I've never really checked out Worse than Pop Punk before, what a wonderful collection of posts. The KLYAM just edges out Occifer B-rad for most topics moved here.

"Does anyone know the discography for the Jay Reatard/Wavves drummer?"

I love the Grateful Dead a great deal.

But, like, ironically right?

I would definitely not say he has a heart of gold unless that means "would share his coke with you."

 :o

That's for all the 13 year olds following along.

the radiohead thread and user wnkrs were always a milemarker of the decline of this board for me.

Wnkrs was a good guy! One of my favorite Termbo turnarounds was people going from hating to liking him. There was a heart of gold under all that text-speak.

Man, these were the days! City Rock killed Termbo.
