New Releases For Sale/Distro Updates / Re: The Pheromoans 'Darby, Joan & Fosters' LP pre-order

Yeah of course and I know he received them because they were tracked, he paid up front for those. The 7" only had the test pressings done, my money was used as the first half of the cost up front. I spoke to the broker and know this.
This was around the time, April, that I think Al decided to take everyone for a ride, hence the non delivery of some of the Anti Climb 12"s. Remember he also did the lathe sub (40 x $100) and the tape sub (80 x $100) + some Shearing Pinx pre-orders and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff, you do the math.
He supposedly had an accident at work causing bad concussion, this then led to him having another fall resulting in more concussion and thus he could only sit in a dark room for weeks on end...mind you I spoke to his mum a couple of weeks ago and she said he was back at work. Maybe he is back working hard to pay his debts off, I really have no idea. I do know I need my money back.
very minor correction on one thing: the tape club was only $65 a pop.
I hate to say it because before all of this I was pals with the man, but I don't buy the concussion story, as he was really frustrated with doing a label and wanting to quit immediately before he vanished, which makes the timing awfully coincidental. if the head injury story IS legit, don't you think he'd find a way to send one mass email or get somebody to throw up a post here or on Weird Canada. we're talking several thousand dollars here.
ok thanks for clearing the tape sub cost up.
no I dont believe him re: the 'accident' either, a simple statement on the ST website explaining things would have made so much sense, but nada. also I have had several converations with his mother and she has never once mentioned it. I did speak to his dad once, but I actually think it was Al I was speaking to. I know he pretended to be his brother when one of his close friends phoned to see what was going on.
all in all a sorry fucking mess, if you try to do something you get accused of getting a 'lynch mob' together, and a lot of folks are buying the concussion tale. I'm just going to keep phoning and writing letters, not sure what else to do?
