Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Re: HOLY SHIT and HUMAN MESS in LOS ANGELES
« on: December 09, 2008, 07:44:58 PM »
Game shows are surreal!  I don't see what's stopping LA bums from going on that show constantly (or plenty of other game shows for that matter).  You can go on as many times as you want and it's FREE.  Groups of 10 are lined up for the producers (one of which wrote the theme song is what they told us when we said we were in a band!) to pick out the contestants and they ask you who you are, where yer from, and what you do.  We didn't make the cut.  The episode we were at airs on February 6th.  The prices on TPIR must be based on LA prices...20-30% higher than Milwaukee prices.    Eric did swear loudly a lot so hopefully that slips past the censors!

Non-Music Shit / Re: Point Beer
« on: September 20, 2008, 06:22:45 PM »
Point is the only beer you can still get (in Wisconsin) that you can still get in returnable bottles.  Blatz and Pabst just stopped doing it.  Rhinelander and Huber (RIP) stopped awhile ago.  It's a damn shame.

Much respect to Point, the oldest brewery in Wisconsin that's still privately owned (5th oldest in America)!!

Quit being so creepy, David .

i don't know how.

too many to list!!!

Actually not really that many.  Schultz's is a mile long tho.  I haven't actually STARTED a new band since I moved to Milwaukee long ago and that's a fucking shame.

I'm gonna write to my cousin (Dave Moorehawk as he was called back in the day!) to so I can find out what the deal is with Moral Disgust not being listed. He might not be into the idea right now, I seem to remember my ma telling me someone was sick or something.

Funny, but on my mom's side of the family every male over the age of eighteen has had a mohawk at one point in their lives since the late 70's on.

My father's father also had a mohawk, but that was back in the early 50's. He also wore leather jackets and motorcycle boots with chains on them.

This is by no means an official final lineup here so loosen yer undies a bit, eh.  Also take note of the "plus more" at the end there. No one is denying Moral Disgust's role then and I'm certain they are being urged to participate in this event.

And, not that it's a contest, but I've been listening to this shit since about '93. S.U.M.'s album was one of my favorite records when I was in 8th grade up through high school. I owned it on vinyl. I was collecting this shit when I was a kid. I used to sit in Surfin Bird all weekend long when I was a kid bugging all the old people about this shit. I'm sure you're not the only one who cares about this shit as much as you do.

No way man not a contest.  Just want to know that the post is justified.

Minors & Tyrants are hardcore?

Yeah yeah yer right...didn't even know there was a possibility of those two playing when I first heard about the show and made that subject header...you get the drift.

Wow...I always thought the chances that ANY of these bands would reform was very nil.  But this whole package I would fly from anywhere to see.  It's probable that no one out there cares about this shit more than I but hey, here's a crapshoot.  This shit is gonna be INSANE!

Favorite 3 North American brews...

"La Fin Du Monde" by Unibroue out of Chambly, Quebec
"Trippel" by New Belgium out of Fort Collins, CO
"Stone Soup" by New Glarus out of Madison, WI

I'm a sucker for those Belgian tripels and goldens.

Any other beer aficionados?
