the commercial for the deoderant with added steroids/HGH is one of my favorites too.  especially seeing will ferrell transform from a jogger to a sort of feral caveman who pounces on a deer, rips it's throat out and then proceeds to spray his mark onto the carcass.

NICE!

It was a good touch having wild dogs on the baseball field, too.

I didn't say stop drinking.  Just drink one less 12 pack a day and buy a record with that money!
I didn't start drinking until 11:00PM on Saturday.  I'm proud of my purty self!

I think I drank with you well before 11 on Saturday.

You were drinkin' boozers, I was drinkin' Poland Springs.
I did eat a couple burgers and Tim might have snuck some Crypt Crack in there.  Other than that I was totally sober.

P.S. - I have a copyright on Crypt Crack.

the gatorade one is great too!
along with the crystal gravy.

I didn't want to bring up bass-o-matic, swill, or any of the early stuff because you can't compare the early stuff to 90s/present.

Really, the show only had a good stretch of years in the early 90s.  Other than that it's been off and on, even through out a single season.

Ben Stiller Show had a great commercial for 3 legged jeans!

This is by far one of my favorite SNL fake commercials(along with Bad Idea Jeans, Pump Up Turkey, and the Love Toilet).
I've been trying to find it online for several years and have never been able to get my hands on it.
Does anyone have this on tape or DVD or have you found it online?
I hope I die before Tracy Morgan so that he can jump on my coffin and say, "I'm a BIG MAN and I need a BIG SHREDDER!"

Actually, if anyone has any of the commercials I named you should pass it my way.

Oh, another thing.  There is this really strange tooth paste commercial that was on in the mid 80s.  It was for children's tooth paste.
This kid brushes his teeth and the outside world turns fucking crazy!  Dudes riding around in a stretch limo that's really a tube of tooth paste and tooth brush rockets and shit.  I had library time for an hour at the Museum of Television and Radio and spent all of it fast forwarding through tapes of commercials in the mid 80s trying to find it.  It's one of those things from my childhood that haunts me.  I HAVE to see that commercial again for some reason.  Like, I find out some great secret if I do.

The uh oh Spaghetti Os commercials with that dude made out of the food in them ruled too.  He had a meatball for a head!  And that Snidely Whiplash styled dude would try to fuck his shit up.

Let's all share stories about commercials.

The way I roll...

If you smoke you should try to cut out one pack from your usually weekly smoking habit or cut out a 12 pack from when you go to the grocery store.  With that extra money you should just blindly buy a random r&b/soul/funk/whatever comp.  Even if the comp isn't solid all the way through you're guaranteed to have at least one scorcher that's worth playing.  There ain' t no shame in spending 10 bucks on an LP for just one track.  The only time I've ever been let down/mislead by a comp was when I dropped 12 bucks at dusty groove for some african record I thought was going to be a lot cooler.  The sticker said something about organ jazz all stars.  I was expecting some bad ass soul jazz in the style of mcgriff... NO!  It was hippy world music shit.
But yeah, if you cut back on a vice it feels more like extra money that you can risk on a record.

And I'll be DJing!!!!
Not that anyone cares, I just thought I'd let it be known.

Yeah, that shit is gay.
Madonna will be all, "this place can now say that I've shopped here," and feel like she did the place a favor by getting free shit.

I could understand being like, "I'm a Packer.  How about you hook me up with some extra garlic bread?!?!?" but not be all wanting free shit.  Especially since they're probably going into mom and pop bars and cafes and these struggling business owners will be like, "sure, local sports hero, it's on the house" and they're all trying to make ends meat but the famous dude is rich as fuck and just taking advantage of somebody who actually deserves money. Not saying football players should be stripped of all money, I just don't think athletes should be making as much money as they do or even be as famous as they are.  What happened to the good old days when authors and scientists were famous and people admired them?
Jesusfuck, I'm bored at work.

Upcoming Shows/Tours/Events / Re: M.O.T.O. & Clean Teens in NYC!
« on: April 14, 2008, 08:29:49 AM »
That sucks for MOTO.   Why is that band the Clean Teens also playing tomorrow with VEEDEE and the Yolks?  Is there a shortage of good bands in NYC? Who let's that sorta shit go on?

You didn't know that there is shortage of good bands in the New York area?
Fuck "good." Just bands in general.
What bands are around these days?
LifeFastDie and WLWL!
THAT'S IT!
Clean Teens aren't even real.  That's just a place holder name for which ever of the two bands gets there first.
