I think girls just don't approach music the same way as guys.  They'll like a song or a band or whatever but it doesn't make them want to hear more similar bands, investigate the reference points, etc.

Also got the new Lamps and Miss Alex White LPs in the mail, as well as that Lamps/Haunted George split. New Lamps is fantastic, obvsly, still haven't given Alex White a listen. The Haunted George Ron Campbell cover is really great ("Oh my god, what's wrong with your record player?" - bystander)

i think "veni vidi vici" is great. i really like almost all of what i've heard of the new album. "cold hands" and "my struggle" were pretty unremarkable, but from what people have told me, the unmastered versions sounded a lot better. the "katrina" video totally blowzz tho.

Is the Lamps LP officially available?  It's not listed on the mailorder part of ITR's website, and though Midheaven's got it up, they always throw the "thanks for preordering, we'll e-mail you when it's ready to ship!" turd on my tacos.  AND I DON'T WANT NO TURDS ON MY TACOS!

Hey man, I got no idea. It is swag city over here in Sorianoville. the new Lamps, cocaine, whores, Larry knows how to promo a record.....

It comes out officially August 4th, I believe.
