Never got into his fiction either, and a lot of his stuff is pretty heavy on the allusions, but I like Country a lot. Where Dead Voices gather, less so. His reader is really good, and easier to get through than a lot of his stuff.

I liked it a lot, it dragged a little in parts because I had just rewatched the original a month or so ago. It was remade really meticulously, even the scenes with the eggs breakings were so deliberate. And yeah, it was nice seeing it in English, and in a theater. Michael Pitt did well, but Brady Corbet played an amazing Peter. If you like the orig, I can't really think of a good reason not to enjoy the remake.
