That G&TF recording is incredible. The truncated LP version sounds great, maybe I prefer the longer OG take (it is at least 60 mins) which prob. contains more dog barking/incidental sounds. One of the best 'reissues' of '11. It's not very 'new' either... hip yrself to Gate, Satanic Rockers and Coolies. Don't think it was an NZ  recording, either.

EMINEM 'The Marshal Mathers LP' 2xLP

Smart, degenerate, 'contemplative', horrifying, uncomfortably charming. One of the handful of schizophrenic mainstream masterworks of the 2000's.

i got a spare if yr willing to pay postage from aus.

I gripped (rather gentlemanly) the plant into talking to me about a repress. We should have this cleared up soon.

Underwhelmed by last week's DMT experience. Needs further experimentation. TOUGH TROUBLES tape ready in a couple weeks.

getting a grip of these for aus distro. mole house single is great, and these mad nanna cuts keep the hits comin'

i probably sound like a jackass, but you'll probably want to come into the stuff w/ an open mind and tolerance for bong rattled free improv, focused ineptitude, murk/clatter and lo-fidelity recording quality. a handful of these new releases are just random jams recorded at matt's place/shop in marooka or a poorly recorded live set. if you listen close enough you'll hear some of the best, more fried sounds coming out of australia.

my picks from this particular bunch are:

RESPADO REPASADO (bleak outback exorcisms, like mad nanna in a k-hole), GIR!S GIR!S GIR!S (almost rock, show booker asked "are they still tuning up or what?" halfway thru their set at ngl fest), XWAVE - live (fans of violent students will dig, noise damaged psychedelic hardcore, bobby soxx on psf), SKY NEEDLE (young marble giants/theoretical girls on a sublime frequencies trip, LP on ngl in march/april), XNOBBQX (rock 'n' roll stripped back to an intense neanderthal essence) & STIIIFS (aka foreign stiffs, butthole surfers meets fushitsusha, w/ the drive of grong grong or the more outer black eye records stuff).

greg boring and wardenburger were both pretty cool live, but haven't heard the tapes. don't have the lost domain one either, but since they're the best band of the last 25 years, i'm sure it's great.

just heard matt is selling everything on the cheap as part of a post-xmass sale. so now is the time to grip this stuff.

early singles are the most lysergic/best trippin' music ever (well, excepting butthole surfers, but that is another kettle of cod entirely).

fave album is the third, self titled.

never listened to 'em on hammer.

In the spirit of the season & this thread, NGL mailorder is offering a special deal on one of, if not the, best Hardcore record released (but not recorded this year). That's the HATEFUCK 'Rock 'n' Roll Let Down' 7"EP + issue 3 of Negative Guest List, featuring a 6+ page article on the group AND the first 'Songs of Negativity' CDr featuring "When Time Takes Over", later the A-side on the 'Rock 'n' Roll...' 7" and "Well Dressed Man", which ended up on our 'Wings Over Gabba' comp LP. Other bands on SoN#1 CDr include Royal Headache, The Jaguar, Taco Leg, Bed Wettin' Bad Boys, Ratas del Vaticano, Puerto Rico Flowers and more.

Prices for 7"/zine/CDr package: $AU10PPD Australia
$US13PPD World

you should be able to order direct from breakdance the dawn (and while yr there, pick up the girls girls girls and respao repasado joints). it is a really stupid album though, perhaps moreso than 'neck tattoo'.

dust mite, i'll personally send you a replacement vinyl for 'falling down the stairs' when we sort these mongoloids out. it'll be dipped in barbiturate, though, which i can't promise won't also have a detrimental effect on the record's sound.

Two Axemen 7" left, no word on Blank Realm..band's crack legal defense team is on the case.

JANUARY: NGL014 TOUGH TROUBLES 'Romances' C40. Fourth and final NGL cassette release. Smart cunts throw a party where Human League, Throbbing Gristle and Eurythmics records are played w/ equal fervor.
