Ah, Simon!  Not a lot is happening, just cowering before the Christmas rush in retail.  Are you moving back to Toronto?  If so, I may be out east with Born Bad in March, and even working there for the summer months.  I could have heard wrong, though...

The Larks, the Harptones, the Penguins... One of my absolute favourite doo-wop/R&B groups is the Midnighters.  I count them as a must, especially if you tend towards the most rockin', uptempo stuff.

I'm not sure if Streets of Fire is the most sublime piece of music ever recorded, but it's damn close.  He's been playing absolutely scorching renditions of Adam Raised a Cain on the current tour.  Fierce.

Ditto the Grant Green.   I'll nominate "Attica Blues" by Archie Shepp as my favourite album (a little outside the box), and "Let's Do It Today" by the Us as my favourite song of the moment.
