Milk Music (cassette) - some awesome SST inspired stuff out of Seattle
Woods - Songs of Shame. My favorite Woods release yet.
Sonny and the Sunsets 7". This is awesome, and it came with a good little book.

Teepee - MBISO
I've played this 9 times in two days.  It's the b-side on the weird hug records 7.  Right up there with the newest eat skull track posted on their myspace as one of my favorite songs so far this year.

Dead Luke - Not Looking Back
From the Black Plague in Mono Vol. 3 tape.  Dead Luke makes your head bob??!!!?? Fuck yes.  Makes me think of Gris Gris and Wooden Shjips (sp?) without sounding like either of them.  This song will make at least two girls go outside to smoke cigarettes when I play it at the bar tonight.

MBISO sounds a bit Modest Mouse to these ears. Digging the newest jerkwave tape though.

Nerve City LP on Sweet Rot will be the best album of the year.

haven't even heard this album, but i can say that this is probably true.
The Bars 7" was good and the tapes are okay, but this seems doubtful to me.

There are a couple of decent shows at my radio station that play good music. Send stuff in, but make sure to label it The World Is A Drag - otherwise it will probably just get sold at the local record store.

The 7" is fantastic!

Fabulous Diamonds

Don't think it counts if you 'rediscover' a record that came out last year.
