not to go all MRR on anyone, BUT these are MAJOR labels. sub pop, matador, vice. all in business with big oil or walmart or macdonalds. corporate burger!

i am as critical of the indie biz/music biz as anyone else, but you gotta define major. sub pop is owned by sub pop with a major having a stake in it. the major doesnt call the shots, subpop does. matador is owned by matador and (i believe) has a P&D deal with atlantic or someone, to tell you the truth,

That's some ye olde timey deal.  Matador is a part of the Beggars Group.  That is a group of labels the Beggars group either owns outright or has a financial stake in.  Beggars exists outside of the major label network so Matador (and the other Beggars Group labels) would be an independent label, but as you pointed out there are many different levels, interpretations, etc. etc.

And it just dawned on me that there must be some board somewhere where folks are crying about having to pay for Tyvek and Blues Control singles to get the Notwist and Arthur & Yu singles.  Search those folks out and maybe you could both come out ahead.

For $15.00 it should come with a "bonus" LP of all the same songs.

haven't look for it on ebay for a while, but seem to remember the original going in the $40-70 range...if the extra material is not that great might just hold out for an original on ebay.

how widely available/how may pressed is this reissue? i guess if there selling it on amazon, there must be plenty.

It is a Sundazed release and I don't think they are advertising a pressing amount (which they have started to do with some of their releases lately).  Chances are they've made a lot of them though.

This is another T&G record that I've heard rumors of an LP repress about.  Should be soon-ish.

Haha!  Kevin got me, consider the slack CUT.

PS: LauraB busted me on wearing a secret tie-dye to the Brothers Unconnected last night.  OOF.
PPS: They're not self-help books!
You seemed to be rocking a tie-dye under your "normal" shirt on Saturday too.  Is it like some sort of secret hippy security blanket?  I don't think Russ went to art school, but I do think there should be a TV show where Russ and Leah are private detectives.

Dave Martin, if you're reading this, might I suggest that Park Ave CDs of Orlando, FL not get any copies of the next 3 singles.

286 page views and 3 days to go. crazy.
While I'd certainly rather they just sell the records to folks who want them for a set price I can't really have any say on what they do with them.

For years we had these in stock and no one cared.  I think we ended up just giving the remaining copies away before we moved our offices.  Really, no one cared.  I miss Good as any, Better than Some. That guy was funny.

Touch and Go are reportedly working on the Killdozer reissues.

Hopefully, the rest of the good stuff on back-catalog as well, unless they're perfectly happy with the hundreds (thousands?) of Negative Approach and Necros bootlegs being sold year after year.
I've been pushing hard for Necros reissues for over 15 years now.  I don't expect it to ever happen.

I'm sure if you hit up Wax-n-facts and let them know that you're looking for the record they'll be able to help you out.

wax'n'facts very rarely stocks new 7"s (unless its a local release) so it'd be a special order thing from there, criminal orders a handful of new 7"s but most of them are bought up by staff before they hit the floor.  i'll try getting it from an online distro.
Well wax-n-facts are getting 11 of them so make a call over there.  Their order is shipping today.

got the same email...hopefully as the pressings get smaller they'll just sell them all, or at least more, as individual orders instead of sending them all to distros...

its a little strange to me that i show up to the website to 'preorder' on the day its announced and im too late....but later get an email saying check my local record stores b/c they all ordered.  to me, that says these records are gonna end up in the hands of people who are just browsing on the day it hits the shelves and may or may not be as interested as i am.  people that didnt go to matador dot com on the day preorders were announced.

i know full well this is how running a record label goes sometimes but maybe next time you guys can hold on to a few more for the little guys.
Well you're right, this is how running a record label goes.  We've got long standing relationships with stores and although we probably could have sold all of this pressing through the Matador store we also have to take care of our accounts. I'm sure if you hit up Wax-n-facts and let them know that you're looking for the record they'll be able to help you out.
