have never cared too much bout the raers figuring in this age most everything i want that is tough to find/expensive will be reissued.  very happy to own a charley patton 2lp comp on yazoo though, that's probably the most interesting thing i own.  oh also a homestead pressing of the first verlaines lp, scored for too cheap on ebay maybe 7-8 years ago, not worth a whole lot but i hold that thing very close to my heart

Was listening to Brian Turner's show from Tuesday and he played a COMPLETE track, "Power Down". It ripped.

finally picked up the Watery Love LP.  there was some early eat skull interview in which rob talked about how they initially wanted to start two bands, an indie rock band and a hardcore band that would be called Eat Skull.  but then they just did Eat Skull.  This Watery Love LP sort of sounds like, to me, what Eat Skull would have sounded like if they had gone on with the HXC thing.  Which is a good thing!

Pink Reason/Psychedelic Horseshit/Kidneys at Red Light Books, Salt Lake City, UT. must have been the fall of 2007.  I'm young, this was the first uh, "DIY" kinda show I ever went to.  I knew their records at this point and was kind of just blown away that they were coming thru Utah. I was 18 and getting to meet and hang out with Matt, Rich, Kevin, Ryan was sort of the moment I knew I could play music too if I wanted.  There were maybe 10-15 people in the basement, but I remember everyone singing along to "the Devil Always Wins" which closed the Pink Reason set.  Afterwards Matt asked me if I thought it would be a good idea to take this acid some girl gave him.  I said, "I dunno, sure!"   Also the first time I met Termbo user: Jared!  Maybe not the best show (I did get to see the Mayyors like 20 times), but certainly the most memorable.
