its all about the songs baby!!!  the songs and how the band plays em.  Clapton was dog shit without Jack Bruce and Ginger baker.  Dylan is the rippingest fuckin drummer and G is the best bassist ive ever played with.  they make all my songs sound awesomer than they should.

I know what you mean.

A well-written grudge can be fine, entertaining at least, but that article is just lazy and solipsist. The Martin Philips stuff doesn't prove shit of that "Simply" desaster and, anyways, the text is missing, like, all possible interrelations between historical data and what he calls pseudo-history - cultural, psychological, historical, economincal, whatever: all. He's way more pseudo then everything he's trying to criticize. It's also hilarious how he doesn't give examples. Is the reader supposed to be familiar with a fucking column Knox wrote 30 years ago for a NEW ZEALAND (other side of earth for me) MAGAZINE? If stuff like this is considered common knowledge, I'm sorry, I will never stain sound talk with my uneducated and unqualified utterings again.

Whatever, maybe this text is just some "part" in the grand act of rescuing the true truth. Hey, maybe it's even a work in progress?!

Pretty sure dan said he interviewed them in an aussie zine called mountain fold, any of you australians know what I'm talking about or how I could get my hands on a copy? Any info/leads would be much appreciated.

Not an aussie but:

He did. Somehow they haven't added the pdf download link yet like to the other past issues.

Jammin' Desastrious quite a bunch. Pretty neat with the vox all degenerated to one glitch-like gurgle. Sounds really fun. Like the drums with their oompah oompah oompah oompah oom-pah-pah-pah pah-pah-pah-pah beat. Yo, and from Desastrious Records or whatver comes Helvintr. This shit is beyond filthy weird. Awesome. For the fun skip the intro and dive directly into Aryan Triumph. One of the weirdest clean-ness attached to BM strings I've heard.

Forgot Cindytalk's Hold Everything Dear in my last post. It definitely belongs in there. An album I'd totally drop in the "when feeling sad/lonely..." threads. Not too easy to describe if you wanna go beyond enumerations of elements that have existed before. The word elegiac doesn't quite wanna leave my fingers and deservedly so.

Does anyone know what's up with the release of Matt Kinnison's Evenings of Ordinary Sand. The track that's up on C-talk's 'tube is fantastic.
