Non-Music Shit / Re: My mom bought me some really bad powerpop records

my mom has learned not to buy me clothes or music.

my dad has not learned to not buy me music, and keeps buying hippie shit for me.

I've told her not to buy me clothes, but she doesn't listen. She thinks I dress weird and is hoping that one day I'll learn to like those hideous boot cut jeans with rhinestones on the back pockets.

My mom doesn't know jack about my music taste. One time she bought me a Boy George greatest hits album. Ugh.

"Just Like Honey" is up there too, hell "Psychocandy" is one of the most romantic records ever made.

I was having a conversation recently with an old flame who said that "Just Like Honey" was one of the most romantic songs ever.  I asked her why and she said "it sounds so beautiful, and have you ever seen Lost In Translation?"  I laughed and told her that she was truly mistaken if she thought this song was romantic in the "Lost in Translation" context.

Dengenerates like me, and most others on this board, who only have one thing on there mind at all time (tits) would know the true meaning of this song.  I told her "its about oral sex after you finish her off" like an 80's version of "Here she comes now."  She didn't believe me and even when I rattled off "I'll be your plastic toy" and "eating up the scum is the hardest thing for me to do" and "in her honey dripping beehive." I mean c'mon. I think its a romantic song in the context I described, but she didn't.

TO EACH HIS OWN

I never made this connection before. Duh!
Yeah, me neither. Thanks for ruining it. Haha.
