Really hope The Gizmos will play a Non-Burger Boogaloo show in July out in the bay.

San Francisco?

Different Gizmos (Dale Lawrence line-up) is playing the Boogaloo.

That said, Ted, you guys need to come to the Bay Area!!!

Incredible stuff Simon. Can't wait to get all these releases. PUNK!

The X demo LP is fucking unreal. Cannot stop listening to it. Early AC/DC meets "Pink Flag" Wire meets "Jealous Again" Flag? Rose Tattoo trying to cover the first Gang Of Four LP? A really, really pissed off Users jamming on classic Stiff Little Fingers singles? PUNK indeed... I remember when this shit would've been a big deal on Termbo, alas.

I am super excited you're doing the X demos on vinyl. Your description is pretty spot-on. Long overdue!

Anyone receive the Mary Monday from Hozac yet?

Yeah, I got mine earlier this week.

I just caught Jodorowsky's Dune, and HR is featured pretty heavily. Can't recommend that documentary enough.

Just saw this too. Really great documentary.

Unrelated to the movie:

Good starting point for the kids.

yeah, seems like a gnalier version of the Rhino tapes / CD's from the 90s.

Exactly. More refined than the Rhino comps, a starting point I wish I'd had when I was getting into punk.

Ditto what Todd said.

Sounds great. I think the label was waiting on covers.

Yup, exactly.

For those of you who are after a copy of the recent Suburban Reptiles "Saturday Night Stay At Home" reissue but aren't looking to spend $10 for shipping from New Zealand (if you can find one), I'm happy to announce that a small handful (60) made it to the States and will be available from Goner, Puke N Vomit, and 1-2-3-4 Go (locals only).

No pre-orders and no, I don't have any other copies to sell myself. These place should all have copies by early next week, if not sooner. They will announce them when they have 'em ready to sell.

Here are the details on the release:

400 copies total pressed, 100 on gold vinyl.
Originally released in 1978.
Mastered from original analog tapes.
Comes with a 4-page insert on the history of the band, a postcard recreation of the original promo poster for the release and a lyric sheet. All around nice package.

Goner, Puke N Vomit and 1234 GO will also have a few copies of the Swingers "Certain Sound" 7" that came out a few years ago. Features ex-Suburban Reptiles, recorded a year after this 45.

Also, if you haven't done so, do yourself a favor and pick-up the Real Groovy Scavengers, Spelling Mistakes and especially the La De Da's LPs that Goner has.

1234 Go also has copies of my photo zines, which you should probably add to your order:

(Sweat) Stains
Mess Me Up!

Since I'm from there, I have the impulse to buy stuff from Indiana, up to about 1985. But luckily there isn't all that much and I have most of it. I won't pay a lot for the other stuff though because I know I'll rarely listen to it.

The Zero Boys 7" is the exception of course. If/when I have the money, I'd pay handsomely for an OG copy.
