UPDATE:  I just got a copy of the 1990 vinyl bootleg of this from a seller in Germany for less than $10 bucks.  This leads me to believe that there are probably plenty of copies still floating around...somewhere.  Just wish I knew a distro that had a bunch of them.  Will update further RE:  sound quality/etc once said slab o wax arrives.

Lance Hahn was one of those hyper-intelligent guys who properly balanced withering sarcasm and a generally jaundiced world view with an eternally upbeat and can-do persona, it was the perfect mix for him actually. It kept him idealistic enough to keep that purist punk ideal intact while simultaneously talking shit about the endlessly reproducing feebs and sores that infest any scene.

Off all the stuff I've read about Lance in the past day or two, Ryan's take really nails it, especially the above part.

Self-deception is a vital skill, especially if your itch is collecting dead wax by guys who never sold a damn. Yes sir, failure-rock fixation leads us all to some pretty wide suspensions of disbelief...

Did Collin mean to say "CD?" I dunno. But I thought I read somewhere that 150 were pressed on LP. Maybe that was in reference to the original? I thought it was only on CD too until I saw the Terminal Boredom review and possibly somewhere else I can't remember.
