this band called the awesome cool dudes that opened for battleship in austin. they are described as 'electronic experimental folk-pop'. bad bad bad. it even started a conversation along the lines of what's the worst band you've ever seen. although the next night battleship was supposed to open for the vibrators in dallas, and by the looks of things, this had potential to be the worst band i've ever seen, but SOME GENIUS left equipment back in Austin, so we had to miss the vibrators.
That was an all around bad night (Austin, that is).
There are so, so many bad bands. On that same Battleship tour, one of the worst phenomenons in general were the ironicly un-hip (yet very hip) shithole keyboard "art" bands. Every single one of them were unlistenable. They're just a blur of bulky sunglasses, too-tight, vintage '80s t-shirts and pale chicken legs stuffed in short shorts.
Like old man Soriano, I no longer stick around for shitty bands. Life's too short.
Also, Chooglin is an AWESOME name for a band of that type. I can tell what they sound like just from the name.
Short Eyes
I second that.
