Rnld, drop an email to staticshockrecords@googlemail.com with what you have available and we can work something out.

hope they have some tonight in Brighton, one of the finest bands in the country.

They definitely should have copies, wish I could make that show! Not going to get to see Box Elders at all now by the looks of things...
48
Sorry State will have copies fairly soon. If anyone else wants copies for their distro / store, just let me know. I want to get these out there as much as possible.

If anyone wants to order direct and wants to buddy up with a friend for a cheaper postal rate, drop me a line and I'll give you the best deal I can so you don't get fucked by the exchange rate.

Hygiene's new 7" is now available to order, here's the spiel:

Following on from the acclaimed (and ridiculously limited) TV Girl EP, London's Hygiene return with 3 more tracks. From the monotony of completing papers, to the violence of the town centre after pubs kicking out, this 7? paints a picture of London life to the sounds of what could be an undiscovered Messthetics comp track in the making, while still unmistakably 100% punk.

Here's what Terminal Boredom had to say about their last single:
This is actually a repressing of an exceedingly rare vinyl version (I need it!) of a demo that was reviewed here a couple of months ago?but, it?s a nice record and I?d hate for it to completely slide under the radar. Hygiene are from the UK, something that is apparent on the record both in their musical nods and lyrical themes (and something that sets them apart from, say, Tyvek who are travelling a similar road but whose humour and references are always very American). In three tracks, they put together a straight-laced and well executed punk number, and a pair of more adventurous tunes that refract from the same palate. And although there are, as Richie mentioned in his review, moments that bring to mind TVPs, this isn?t a UK-DIY re-enactment as the band does not ignore the last 25 years and even mixes in a couple of moments that approach hardcore.(DH)

320 copies have been pressed. Hygiene will be following this up with the Recruitment EP, which will be out in the next few months on Going Underground.

Available to order now for ?3 from http://www.staticshockrecords.co.uk . If you want to take copies for your store or distro, just give me a shout. Next up will be a new 7" from No Talk.

A couple of new things just arrived, I highly recommend the Screamers boot...

NEW IN:

CULT RITUAL - S/T LP - ?10.00
Bulldozing over a breadth of classic influences, Florida's CULT RITUAL embodies everything a band should be: Motivated, Uncompromising, and Lethal. Anyone fortunate enough to have lived through their live performances will attest to the band's unparalleled standard of ferocity. Their debut full length LP captures the band at their most daring, most fully-realized apex. This release features a stunning 22"x22" double-sided poster and silkscreened artwork on heavy 165 lb board, and on clear brown vinyl.
This is on Youth Attack, hence the price. Worth it for the packaging though...

SCREAMERS - ASSAULT! LP - ?8.00
The Screamers were the originators of the LA art punk scene and are one of those bands that everyone says they are influenced by yet they never released any records. They were a two-synthesizer and drums combo with nervous-breakdown-tantrum-style vocals. This coloured vinyl only album features 6 tracks live from the Mabuhay Gardens, SF '78 and demos from 1977 and 1978. This is seminal stuff. It comes with a 4 page insert with interviews, photos and gig handouts. Really nice package.

ARTCORE ZINE #26 w/ HOUSE OF COMMONS CD - ?5.00
Latest issue of Artcore, complete with a full length cd by the obscure Vancouver hardcore band House Of Commons, the zine features interviews with Warprayer, Shitty Limits, Capital, Cut Up's and John Yates among others, and the Valutage section contains essays on Angry Samoans, The Cramps, Flex! Book and lots more.

We've also taken over Ghost City Records distro and have a LOT of new stock on the site, check it out if you get the chance:

Tests for the new Hygiene 7" were approved today, and the record should be out in around a fortnight's time:

BILLY BAO - May 08 LP (Parts Unknown) ?8.00
"The Nigerian monstrosity that is Billy Bao returns in agony. Bleeding. Pointing a colossal black finger at global capitalism, regular music, non-music and anti-music, at the food crisis of 2008, the moribund spirit of 1968, and especially at you, the record buyer, who maybe "really dug" his first LP, Dialectics of Shit, and will come back for more, or perhaps "heard a lot about him" and his bandmate Mattin in the "blogosphere" or even in print media (ooh!) (whatever that is), and are "curious to finally hear his music" because you find the stories "interesting" and this is even heavier and more fucked up than The Brainbombs at their heaviest and most fuckeduppednest, and you "get it," right? Yeah!
Or wait, let me guess, you got the record for free along with this press release because you're an influential but too-modest-to-admit-it journalist or music critic or program director and so far you've had something to say about Billy, or not, and this is a wonderful opportunity for you to comment upon the work of someone whose primary subject is his own work, so that you can enter into a "dialogue" with "him," or maybe "introduce new audiences" -- maybe even some "kids"! Hooray for the kids! -- to some "awesome" new sounds that "engage the listener in a perceptual tug of war, a struggle to make sense of the unnatural experience of playing audience member to someone else's performer" -- or even better, outsmart Billy, outsmart this record, and call it out as bullshit or play along and pretend that you're in on some "joke" that, let's be honest, you sometimes suspect you don't really get yourself.
It don't matter! We're all human beings here, except for those of us who aren't, and none of us is more human than Billy. What matters is the way Alberto Lopez pounds the drums, the way Xabier Erkizia rips up the guitar, Mattin and Xabi's computer dicking, and Billy right in the middle of it, channeling a desperation so total it's embarrassing.
This LP is so angry the songs don't even have titles. Some of 'em are really long, some are really short, but they're all pretty goddamn infuriating, as they oughta be.
May '08 is actually surprising, which is pretty goddamn surprising, because where do you go after those first four platters, honestly? Well, fuck, you make a record that's somehow noisier than all of those, more tweaked and fucked-with and digitally distorted than anything before it, crammed with grotesque and sublime samples from the noise of yesteryear: Nono, Kuti, Whitehouse, Brainbombs, and Billy, Billy Bao.
What? What do you want?"

BLACK MARK - Wrecked 7" (Hardware) ?3.00
One-sided 5-song rager from Kansas City, Missouri USA. BLACK MARK deliver punishing US-HC, think 86 MENTALITY meets WASTED TIME. Yes it's that good. If not better!

GOVERNMENT WARNING - Executed 7" (Grave Mistake) ?3.50
Brand new 45 single to accompany the new full length. Recorded in the same session as PARANOID MESS. This was originally intended to be a European tour single but we just opted to make it a proper release instead. The title track charges through at varying speeds, musically taking cues from Kings of Punk era POISON IDEA topped with Kenny?s biting vocal delivery, while the flip side backhands you with one quick ripper in standard GW fashion, followed up with a Battalion of Saints cover.

THE LADIES - S/T 7" (Grave Mistake) ?3.50
The debut EP from Richmond, VA's THE LADIES. Originally released in 2008 on Riff Raff records, Grave Mistake has been given the honor to handle the repress to coincide with their two new venomous singles on No Way and Cowabunga Records. Raw and obnoxious yet catchy as well, reminiscent of early DWARVES, with a couple of short and fast rippers thrown in to keep the crowd moving and the beer flying. Five obscene and insulting punk anthems guaranteed to hurt someones feelings.

THE LADIES - Hole Sailor 7" (No Way) ?3.50
The second ep from richmond Va?s hometown zeroes THE LADIES. 4 new songs here of great sarcastic punk rock. For fans of DWARVES, Early QUEERS and stuff like that. If you?re into the 1st 7″, you?ll definetly love this one. My copies are on colour vinyl.

LOGIC PROBLEM - No Centre 7" (Grave Mistake) ?3.50
An incredible follow up EP to 2008's debut s/t 7" on SORRY STATE RECORDS. With NO CENTER, North Carolina's LOGIC PROBLEM deliver up four more abrupt bursts of fast and raw hardcore. While their debut EP seemed to separately showcase two different sides of the band, this new EP finds LOGIC PROBLEM hitting a perfect balance between the noise/feedback drenched discordance and the straightforward fast hardcore delivery. LOGIC PROBLEM summon an ominous and chaotic element to keep things interesting while still managing to keep it short and to the point for maximum impact.

NITAD - Ge Oss Mer 7" (No Way) ?3.50
Originally released on Kranium Records a couple years ago in a small run of 200 copies, this ep was just TOO good to keep it out of print and unavailable for mass consumption. 5 tracks here, and for sure none of them will dissapoint. If you?ve heard their lp or past few 7″es, you know they are a swedish hardcore punk powerhouse. They have a hard sound to describe as it?s pummeling with power, yet still keeping the melody and staying catchy enough to remember what?s going on ever after listening. These copies are on colour vinyl.

ORGANISM - Hope LP  (Hardware) ?7.00
"Be prepared for one of the most furious and ripping Hardcore records from Japan in a while! ORGANISM deliver 8 tracks of fast and breathtaking fucking Hardcore with two brutal and razor sharp sounding vocalists. If you dig LIP CREAM, NIGHTMARE or WARHEAD be sure: This powerhouse will cut more fuckin heads off than the French Revolution! Punk as fuck!"

PRESS GANG - Sex Satan 7" (Hardware) ?3.00
"After their furious first 7?, that was faster sold out than you could jack off a Becky Bondage pin-up, Press Gang from Muenster / Germany team up with their second 7? on mighty Hardware Records. Five more tracks of nihilistic, raw and US influenced Punk Rock, that varies between melodic driven US Punk in the veins of the Adolescents and dirty Punk Rock not unlike their brothers in crime Dean Dirg."

SNEAKY PINKS - S/T 7" (1-2-3-4 Go) ?3.50
Repress of this great record, I've been playing this an awful lot this summer: "It's a re-release of the first Sneaky Pinks 7". Something this retarded needs the strength of two labels to keep it in print so Rubber Vomit and 1-2-3-4 Go! are tag teaming this thing and re-releasing it in late may. Fans of Nobunny, The Spits, Ramones and other retard lo-fi punk will definitely want to check this out if you haven't heard of it before. Four songs of idiot savant cretin punk fronted by the man behind the mask of Nobunny! This was self released in a few small batches a few years back but we're helping keep this thing around for awhile. You can actually check out a few songs at their myspace over here http://www.myspace.com/sneakypinks."

SOCIAL CIRCKLE - I've Got Afflictions 7" (No Way) - ?3.50
SC's second ep, and one of my favourite releases of 2008. Fast and tight punk rock from Mass, USA, this band definitely have a great knack for song writing, and each song here is memorable. Look out for a UK tour in October.

URBAN BLIGHT - More Reality LP (Slasher) ?8.00
Finally, after literally years since their killer S/T on Deranged, UB have recorded a follow up record. Channelling early-'80s Boston and New York hardcore, Toronto, Canada's Urban Blight tear through ten tracks of fast, pissed off hardcore with an authentic sounding recording and blown out vocals on music that's comparable to The Abused, Straight Ahead, SSD and Negative FX. This is definitely the best record of this style since the Waste Management 7" I reckon.

V/A - NO BULLSHIT VOL 4 7" (No Way) ?3.50
Brand new installment in our No Bullshit series. This time we have CITIZENS PATROL, ANTI YOU, BORN BAD, CIVIC PROGRESS, LOGIC PROBLEM, VIOLENT ARREST and INSOMNIO. All great tracks in the usual no bullshit tradition.

VIVIAN GIRLS - Wild Eyes 7" (Wild World) ?3.50
Repress of the first Vivian Girls 7" that was impossible to find as the guy who did the original press went AWOL.

VOGUE - Dickfaced LP (Holy Shit) ?7.50
After two demos and two sold-out 7?s, this is their first full-length LP. If you like their previous stuff, you will definitly love this one. The songs on the record are what you can expect from VOGUE but more. Harsher, harder, rawer, unexpected tempo juggling, psychedelic shit ... Discontent in its purest form. It?s hard to make comparisons with other bands as there are so many sides to the record. If you are into PISSED JEANS, SSD, BRUTAL KNIGHTS, ANNIHILATION TIME or DEAD STOP, have a grip on this one. These copies are on clear vinyl.

YOUNG GOVERNOR - Hidden Love 12" (Parts Unknown) ?8.00
"From the Great White North and the twisted mind of a one time child actor comes "Hidden Love" the first 12" EP from Young Governor. While no doubt people will jump to comparisons of Jay Retard, Home Blitz, and Kurt Vile, that is doing Young Governor a grave diservice. The perfect summer record just in time for summer, "Hidden Love" is the perfect blend of pop, singer songwriter, lo-fi, and dare we say folk. Ben Cook the mastermind behind it all has been a busy boy indeed. It's a wonder that he finds time to write and record not just Young Governor material but also releases music under the banner Bitters, all the while being a full time member of the much heralded outfit Fucked Up. Wonders will never cease and you will no doubt find yourself humming aloud the songs of pure pop class demonstrated here after just a few listens."

A couple of dates have been moved, and a couple added:
55
The band I play in is going to be coming over to play a few weeks of shows next week, and I figured it's worth posting the dates up here to get the word out a bit.

We're from the UK, play punk rock and have records out now or forthcoming on Sorry State, Wallride, La Vida Es Un Mus, Dire, Static Shock and Motorchest that may be gathering dust in a distro box near you. You can check us out and download pretty much all of our releases if you're that way inclined for free from http://www.myspace.com/theshittylimits

Logic Problem are from North Carolina, play hardcore punk and are way better than us. They have releases on Abuse, Grave Mistake, No Way and Sorry State.  http://www.myspace.com/logicproblemnc

Here's the dates as they currently stand, thanks for looking!

56
which U.S. distributors are gonna have this?

So far, Parts Unknown, Grave Mistake, 1234 Go, No Way / Vinyl Conflict. If anyone else is interested, just give me a shout.

The new Young Governor 7" is now available on Static Shock Records.

YOUNG GOVERNOR - English Tim 7"

This is the second solo 7" from Young Governor - aka - Ben Cook, also of such groups as The Bitters, Marvelous Darlings, Violent Minds and Fucked Up. The title track on this single picks up where Guv's first single, 'Virginia Creeper' left off, where the flip 'In The Heart Of A Harem' verges into much darker territory. While comparable to Angry Angles, Jay Reatard, and Home Blitz, songs definitely stand out as not just being a sound-alike of the above bands. The songs on this single are lo-fi, distorted, and will be stuck in your head for days.

1st press limited to 500 copies in full colour covers. Wholesale and some trades available.

You can order this for ?3 from http://www.staticshockrecords.co.uk
Check out Young Governor at http://www.myspace.com/younggovernor

Next up will be the 2nd 7" from London's HYGIENE, which should hopefully be out late August time.

Is that Dolly Mixture documentary online anywhere? Would love to see it...

is this last minute?

I'm not putting it on, but from what I can gather it's always been happening since the Euro dates were announced.
