I fucking hate the movie Juno! Worst dialog and lamest characters. Most people I know hate it as well but there are a few that think "It's cute". It's like Urban Outfitters got into movie making.

Today a record arrived in the mail cracked in half and it really fucked my day up. It was cheap so I'm not that bent out of shape over it but none the less, I really wanted that fucking record. Anyone won else wanna share, sorry if this subject has been touched on before.

You said it! The new 7" is much better than the first, not that that one is terrible. If I heard this not knowing who it was, I would have guessed it was an early 80's so cal band. They have the hooks and just a bit of weirdness that makes this one really stand out. They really did a top notch job with the recording as well. Apparently they have an LP due up on Deadbeat.

Scott has a really good point. I've lived in Bakersfield most of my life and I can honestly say that even though we're 90 minutes from LA, it's a different world , things move slower here which is not really a bad thing. Most of the central valley is more like the mid west as far as values and religion goes. Prisons and oil filed work is big here. Cage fighting and lame assholes who think they're Mike Ness is also on the up in these parts. Rent is so cheap here, that would be one of the only things keeping my girlfriend and I from moving to LA. I cringe when thinking about my half of the rent being around $700 or $800 in LA and here it is $240. How am I suppose to buy records then? O'ya, the Mexican food kills here! .89 tacos which actually really good, can't beat it.
