To like Neil Young only in the Buffalo Springfield is like only liking "Deep Soul Cole" era Fred Cole or only liking New Christy Minstrels era Gene Clark.
Its totally ridiculous to think that Neil Young's best contribution to music was the 5 odd songs he wrote in Buffalo Springfield. One of which (Mr. Soul) i never, ever want to hear again.

the clash hate bandwagon is pretty funny to me. i don't know whats so wrong with the first two LPs. i loved them when i was in middle/highschool, so i'll always remember london calling fondly even if i have heard it in years. i'll give in to some of the hate, but i mostly think people that bag on the clash for too long are just trying to be punky pricks.
to cite a band with all these exceptions ("dylan- post blonde on blonde", etc..) basically means you just like the band, so give it up. you like 7 albums by bob dylan. (uh, i don't know anyone that yammers on endlessly about how much they love slow train coming.)

i think marley has probably been killed by the radio. for all i know he was great, but the radio tells me otherwise every single day. this guy in singularly responsible for me ignoring any and all jamaican associated music for my whole life. now i know better. i'll never own a marley record but i'm sure fucking glad i've got the heptones now.
