^ of course, but a lot of it is still very listenable. I saw gza do liquid swords live a few weeks ago and it was honestly the best hip-hop show i've been to (i'm not usually into that kind of nostalgia).

RZA has some great series of bars but he can't do an entire song by himself. His lines on "Protect Ya Neck" are classic though.

Funny you mention Wu-Tang, a zine I was working on back then had an ad I made for a fake Spazz/Wu-Tang split. I had no problem with Spazz's kung fu worship, or their use of banjo, it was that one particular really gruff cartoon vocal that bothered me, however I still used to listen to Spazz back then and always considered them to be kind of comedy music.
word. i always considered spazz a comedy band and the gruff vocals (as in most power-violence) were very irritating
