See thats the sorta thing this show should've been, not a ?59 shit-fest. I'd happily pay ?30, maybe ?40, for The Gories, The Oblivians and a bunch of really good UK/Euro bands like Black Time, Hipshakes, The Sticks, The Pheromoans, The Weakends etc. Including transport to Nottingham this would cost me over ?100. Yeah. It's a bit of a con that you can't buy advance tickets for just one of the days. The only band worth seeing on the second day is the Coyotemen. The AMAZING headliners that have just been confirmed are some band I've never heard of called the Ghastly Ones.

Having said that, I just checked the festival page and the Armitage Shanks are now playing the Friday. Los Chicos are a force live too... I'm finding it a bit hard to be cynical now to be honest, it's gonna be fucking great!

Never heard it on vinyl, but the CD version is possibly the QUIETEST mix I've ever heard. Still loud if you turn it up of course, but they just seem to have cranked the volume down at the last stage. It does come with a nonsensical rant against CDs printed on the disc though, so I guess it's deliberate.
