Show was fun, party was beat unless you like underage street punx. The previous party was a million times better.
Looked out the window and saw you handling the cops like a comedy routine, though. They looked really into it and had formed a semi-circle around you. I was really surprised when they said that all they wanted was people off the roof and then left.

« on: February 14, 2009, 09:52:18 AM »the other day i was drunk at the deli on the corner across the street from nice guy eddie's on 1st and a. i saw the guy from the yeah yeah yeahs and said somethin like "this fuckin guy!!! you still in that faggot band?!" people waitin in line began to laugh. he said nothing but looked like he was gonna cry. his girlfriend gave me the finger. i continued sayin things of a similar nature as they walked away.
Hahaha that's hilarious.
I actually like 1/3 of their first album.

I really didn't like the Nice Boys LP the first time I heard it, but it really grew on me. The execution/mixing isn't always the best, but the songwriting is, for the most part, pretty tight. Also, the backing vocals sound like Grampa Simpson.

I lived with their niece in New Orleans for a while. I was strolling through the hallway playing a Ronettes song on guitar and she said, "hey, that's my aunts' band". She showed me her baby pictures of them holding her, too bad no Ronettes ever showed up.
