Michael Morgan of the MICHAEL & The Messengers version of the Messengers co-wrote "That's the Way A Woman Is", so I'm sure it wasn't some Ohio Express tune or anything.

I was in e-mail correspondence with Greg from the Messengers and he told me that 1828 E. Newberry on the East Side of Milwaukee was the Messengers home-base and where they really got their stuff going.  Always wish I could have rented that place out...

Showed "Dirty Work" to somebody who had never seen it before the other night, and we made a Hawaiian Happy Pizza with some crazy medical marijuana called "The Goo" (I only ever used ditch weed in cooking before this...Jesus Christ!).  Needless to say, they enjoyed it throughly.

Has anybody seen "Mr. Warmth", the Don Rickles documentary, yet?  I watched the bonus features on Hulu but I gotta see the actual thing, dammit!!!

There's a cool new venue (The Frequency), a few cool bands (The Hussy, Cribshitter), and it seems like MKE bands are getting more keen on playing there again, so there's a little resurgence going on.  Not much for house shows or anything, though.

Y'know, I don't think Barbara Stanwyck's that good looking either, but she's got SOMETHING.  Totally kills me in "The Lady Eve".  "Double Indemnity" is great!
