Whats that cover from the first show you posted? it starts at 2:35. Its an electronic instrumental thing. Totally fucking sweet. Do you know who covered it, what they are calling it? Wanna get the record man!

Edit: Finally just figured out they are covering the ventures. Fucking driving me insane since I knew I had heard that song a million times, but couldn't think of it for the life of me.

it's ad infinitum (peter hook plus the stockholm monsters) covering it, from a 7" on factory.

The only songs I,ve heard with Black Tambourines are the three on their myspace. Nothing special in my ears. But I can totally see people into Vivian Girls digging Black Tambourine. I especially dont like Black Tambourines bass sound  and how the bass is played. Way to high in the mix and the bass lines arent good. Just annoying.

i love the bass sound on "throw aggi off the bridge."

Ha! Think thats its the by far best song of the three, But the bass sound ruins it for me. To many notes or somethin. Dont know how to explain.

That's so funny! Maybe it has more charm on the vinyl.  We're in total agreement that it's the best Black Tambourine song.

i gotta get that black tamborine cd.  the tunes on the myspace were great

while you're at it, check out jessie garon & the desparadoes - the band which black tambourine we're inspired by. (although they took their name from a surf drums song.)

according to riot girl folklore, jon slade doesn't fly. maybe things have changed. that would be awesome. saw their last show at laurel tree w/ skinned teen and phantom pregnancies. 800 degrees and slade in a parka the whole show. class.

He doesn't.

He'd have to come over via cruise ship.
